By Denis Musali
Cricket Cranes All Rounder Dinesh Nakrani is one of 100 associate cricketers that have had their names in the Pakistan Super League draft for 2022. The all-rounder has had a superb year with bat and ball for the cricket cranes.
He was named the Most Valuable player for the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers Group A in Kigali Rwanda, he featured dominantly with the ball for the cricket cranes as a new ball partner to Frank Nsubuga but also a death bowler who could clean up the tail. He finished the tournament with the best bowling figures of 6/7 the third-best bowling figures in T20 international cricket and collected a total of 21 wickets.
He was more prolific with the bat at the ICC T20 World Cup finals in Rwanda where he managed to score 141 runs with the highest score of 67 and an average of 141 in 5 innings finishing unbeaten in 4 innings with a strike rate of 156.
He made his debut for the cricket cranes in T20 international cricket in 2019 and has since then scored 347 runs with an average of 26.7 and a strike rate of 134. He has a big reputation as a finisher of games at the back end of innings.
His skill with the ball has seen him collect 40 wickets in T20 international cricket, with best bowling figures of 6/7 at an economy of 5.43. His intelligence and change of pace with both new and old balls have ensured that he is not predicable to batters.
It will be a great honor to see one of our very own competing against the very best in the world in the PSL.
