In the Premiership of the UCA Men's 50-over league, Brian Asaba managed to score a century 162 off 169 balls and helped his team Nyakasura Cricket Club to win Patidar Cricket club by 54 runs.
Patidar Cricket club won the toss at Lugogo Cricket Oval and choose to bowl, Ahuura Amos and Brian Asaba opened the batting for Nyakasura, Brian Asaba who struggled a lot last month during the under 19 world cup qualifiers managed to play a not out role and helped Nyakasura CC to set 289/9 playing all the 50 overs where Jignesh Kerai was the pick of the bowlers for Partidar with 4 wickets.
In response to Nyakasura's score, Patidar Cricket club managed 235/9 in 50 overs and there was a good batting display from Jiteshi Grosia 58 (69) and Navin Pindoria 31 (28). Lindon Mutengesa and Alijuna Fortunate were the bowlers from Nyakasura CC who managed to reduce on the damage from Paridar CC with both picking up 3 wickets.
Meanwhile at Entebbe Cricket Oval, Challengers Cricket Club beat Wanderers Cricket Club by 59 runs and moved on top of division one table.
Wanderers won the toss and opted to take the field, and when Challengers CC came to bat, they set 235/9 in 50 overs and in response Wanderers CC posted 176 runs all put in 49.5 overs.
This win sent Challengers sent to the top of the table with 4 points in 2 games and its tied with Aziz Daman Development Cricket Club at 4 points with the two separated by net run rate.
At the home of Ceylon Lions, Serenity Cricket Oval, the hosts lost to Aziz Daman Cricket Development Club by one run.
Aziz Daman won the toss and choose to bat and they managed to set 261/6 in 43 overs and Ceylon Lions set up 260/8 in 23 overs and they fell shot by one run.
