Budo Oval

Wanderers V Tornado

Jinja Oval

Patidar v Nile

Wanderers managed to defeat Budo CC by 9 wickets in a game they were expected to win away in Jinja. This was their 1st win in the season after an opening day defeat to Avengers.

They come up against a resurgent Tornado side that has managed to win its opening two games against Budo and Patidar. Tornado had a torrid 2017 which nearly saw them relegated but they recruited well in the off season adding U19 all rounder Cosmas Kyewuta to their side and he has so far been value for money. Brian Adriko has led from the front scoring some valuable runs and despite losing Eddie Agaba and Saddam Oyaga they have been able to score atleast 200+ runs in their first two games.

The game played on the small Budo oval always favours whoever scores the most runs, last season both teams met at the same venue and Tornado edged the low scoring match in which Wanderers could only manage 85 runs.

However, Wanderers needs to win this game more than Tornado if they are to stay in touching distance with the pace setters ACC, a loss would mean Wanderers drops further away from the top and closer to the bottom where they dont want to be.

Wanderers will be looking at their captain Denis Musali to led from the front for runs and against Budo Abu Sseguya scored an unbeaten 35 which had all the glimpses of why Wanderers broke the piggy bank to get him. The team will be missing big hitting Micheal Nuwagaba who is out of the country on official duties and Yasin Ngobi who had a memorable debut last Sunday due to university exams.

The other game in Div 2 has Patidar taking on Nile in Jinja, unless rain helps Nile Patidar should get all full points against the young Nile side. Nile failed to show up for their first game in the season against Wanderers but put together a very young and inexperienced side for the game against SKLPS. This is going to be a very long season for the young boys but worth while interms of learning.

Patidar lost their 1st game to Tornado but they sent a statement to their rivals by defeating Avengers last weekend with a commanding win. The team recruited heavily from Div 2 winners Premier and if they can get their act together quickly they can challenge for the title.
