The Cricket Cranes were handed a financial boost from the National Council of Sports (NCS) and Endiro Coffee as they travel for the Div 3 qualifiers in Oman. The Cricket Cranes will be leaving for Muscat Oman on Sunday evening to battle with five other nations for two promotional spots to Div two.

The Div 3 qualifiers in Oman were made more important after ICC changed the qualification for the 2023 World Cup with the top two sides guaranteed at least 36 ODI games in the new format over the next two years.

At the flag off this morning at the NCS offices in Lugogo, Assistant General Secretary (technical) David Katende broke the news from the sports governing body

The cricket cranes have done us proud from Rwanda as well as Southafrica, as a body we thought it fit to reward the team with a package of 10M that should help them be comfortable in Oman.

At the same function Endiro Coffee was also unveiled as the team sponsor with the Endiro Coffee logo added to the sleeves of the cricket cranes playing jersey. Cody Lorance brand manager of Endiro Coffee stated

As a brand were excited about this partnership with cricket Uganda and we hope the team can come back victorious from Oman. As a brand we want to end child vulnerability and we hope our partnership with cricket will enable us achieve this.

The 14 man side will be led by Roger Mukasa and assisted by Brian Masaba, Arnold Otwani makes a return to the side after sometime on the sidelines with the rest of the side no different from the team that represented Uganda in the T20 Africa B World Cup Qualifiers in Rwanda.

Ronak Patel and Dinesh Nakrani will be playing in their 1st World Cricket League qualifier for the cricket cranes and they will be key players for Roger Mukasa in pursuit of glory.

The side will be handled by Steve Tikolo as head coach, Jackson Ogwang as assistant coach and Jackson Kavuma as Team Manager. The side will be have at least five days to get used to the heat of Oman before they take on Denmark in their 1st game on Nov 9th.

Before the team travels on Sunday they will do some CSR work in Mulago before being hosted by team sponsor Endiro coffee at the farewell dinner at their Kololo location.
