National Men’s 50 over League: Week 2

The national men’s league continues this weekend with two games at Kyambogo Cricket Oval and Entebbe Cricket Oval.

On the opening weekend, Wanderers managed to go past SKLPS in the top flight while Nyakasura made light work of Aziz Damani Development 2 in the second division.

This weekend newly promoted Ceylon Lions and Africa Cricket Club (ACC) face off in Entebbe, both sides have just been promoted from the second flight. Ceylon Lions were winners of Div2 in 2019 while ACC who finished 4th in 2019 benefited from the new structured league that saw them come up alongside Avengers to balance the divisions. 

At Kyambogo Cricket Oval Kings College Budo taking on Northern Knights Cricket Club from Gulu, NKCC will be making their debut in the league and will not only have to contend with the long trip from Gulu but also some fierce competition. Another regional team joins the league and it will be nice to see how they cope with their rivals. Budo a team mostly made up of old boys of Kings College Budo going promotion to Div. 2 from Div. 3 via the new structure that had Div. 2 merged with Div. 3.

  1. K.C Budo v NKCC – Kyambogo Cricket Oval 10 am
  2. Ceylon Lions v ACC – Entebbe Cricket Oval 10 am.
