All bowlers in the Division II Jazz Safari National Women’s League will be equally relieved and happy to know that Immaculate Nakisuyi will be playing in the top flight next season. The mere mention of her name sends shivers down the spine of every bowler not only in local competitions but also across the region.

The Aziz Damani Masaka SS Ladies Cricket Club captain was a menace to bowlers in the lower division with a return of 469 runs comprising of two big centuries and two half tons.

Such a haul meant she was ominous with the willow and deservedly took the Best Batter’s gong and also added the Best Wicketkeeper’s award to stake good claim for the overall Most Valuable Player award with additions of five fielding dismissals and eight wickets with her part-time spinners.

Maria Mwesige of Ndejje Premier took the Best Fielder’s award with six catches while Jane Francis Baluka of Aziz Damani Masaka was the Best Bowler with 10 wickets.

But the season entirely belonged Aziz Damani Masaka SS Ladies Cricket Club who blew away the competition and finished the season without losing a single game. Coaches Yusuf Nanga and Hakeem Kasozi will not want to rest on their laurels with the 2018 season poised to be tougher.

But as long as the two tutors can keep his MVP Nakisuyi, they will be a force to reckon with. MVP Immy was also the Girls Schools Cricket Week MVP and was pivotal in the Lady Cricket Cranes success in Windhoek, Namibia last August.
