Match Summary

A.C.C 68/0 Daniel Batuwa 29(29) Not Out, Brian Kiiza 18(31) Not Out. IN 10.1 Overs Beat NILE CC 66/10 Afunadula Jonathan 19(16) IN 17.3 OVERS

NILE CC won the toss and chose to bat first, hoping to get a good score against A.C.C the boys had nothing in mind except getting that big score and hopefully distance themselves from relegation which is just looming over them.

Nishant G 0(1) and Christopher Ozelle 12(30) opened the batting for Nile CC but the innings got off to the worst possible starts as NILE lost two wickets in the off the first two deliveries of Emmanuel Odeng's bowling.

There was hardly any breathing space for the Nile batsmen as pressure accumulated, Vishnu Manepalli 1(16) tried to stabilize though his efforts were in vain as he couldn't trouble the scores much.

Lennon Kangume 3(18) and Ozelle Christopher 12(30) tried to hold on but their resistance was short-lived and soon fell to Emmanuel Odeng. There was hardly any resistance from the mid-order and tail-end with only Jonathan Afunadula 19(16) putting on a decent score.

Marvin Kitamirike and Emmy Odeng combined to destroy the Nile lineup as the Nile boys found it hard to pick the turn and swing of the ball and could only set a score of 66.

With such a thin score set for them, A.C.C sent in the explosive Daniel Batuwa in the company of Brian Kiiza to open the the innings. Just at the start of the ACC innings the weather threatened to spoil ACC's day and perhaps save NILE who needed the favor from the rain gods.

Daniel Batuwa seized the intiative and tore into the Nile bowling attack scoring quickly to make sure there was no chance of sharing points with Nile. None of the bowlers was spared except Ozele chris who conceded six runs in his wicket-less spell. With so many chances mis-used and catches dropped, A.C.C chased the target for the loss of no wicket in just 10.1 overs.

After this loss, NILE remains in the seventh place a point ahead of KC Budo and this means that whoever loses when they face each other on the Sunday of 7th  at Kyambogo oval gets relegated and the winner survives.
