Jinja Oval - 10.30am
Wanderers v Budo
Budo is stuck at the bottom of the table and if the season ended today they would be relegated to Div 3. However, with two games left Budo has a chance to at least leap frog Nile and survive the drop this season.
Budo have had a below par season with their only highlight being the win over season favorites ACC. But since then, they went on to lose to fellow strugglers Nile and have been bottom of the table for most of the season. Though they have a better side than Nile, Budo has failed to mount a credible challenge losing games they could have been able to win.
They have three more games to save their season with the most important being the game against Nile, the other two games against Wanderers and Tornado might be a tall order given that they lost to both sides in the first round.
Wanderers was AWOL last weekend after their captain lost his father but they should be ready to go this weekend, Wanderers is safely away from the relegation scrap and with their guard down Budo might get something from the game.
Budo Captain Abu Mayanja knows where to concentrate his energies and this is what he had to say when we spoke to him.
Well to put it simply, we have a quarter final, semi final and FINAL. To be honest our energies are solely on the last game of the season against Nile so the other two games will help us prepare for the ultimate goal which is to beat Nile so as to ensure survival
Wanderers will be hoping they can get a win and at least finish as high up the table as possible, while Budo will take anything they can get out of the game. This battle will be at the expansive Jinja oval and runs win games on this ground.
The team that scores the most runs will definetly win the game, in the first round Budo scored a paltry 90 which Wanderers was able to chase down with out breaking a sweat losing only two wickets enroute to an 8 wicket win.
