Premier CC Vs Tornado Bee CC
Kyambogo Oval
10:30am

After scrapping by to win in a low scoring encounter with Strikers CC at the lakeside oval two weeks ago, Tornado Bee CC will gladly welcome the challenge from Premier this weekend at the Kyambogo University cricket oval.

The Bees did not have the best of times against the Strikers side that were bent on winning the encounter. The match was so animated that the banter on the field carried on to off the field after the game with the sledging also taking to social media between individual players from both teams.

It is safe to claim that the Strikers who the Bees could leapfrog with a win will be rooting for a Premier win. Tornado Bee have bounced back well with wins coming from Ceylon Lions and Strikers after being humbled in three consecutive games by Aziz Damani, Kutchi Tigers and Challengers who sit 1, 2 and 3 respectively on the table.

The Bees who have struggled for form all season long find themselves in fifth place, seven points away from relegation threatened Ceylon Lions. Jerry Kibukamusoke and his charges will want to distance themselves from the Lions and as such, they come prepared to win in this fixture. Roger Mukasa, Deus Muhumuza and Akbar Baig will be key for the Bees.

Premier on the other hand have not had the best of campaigns in the league with an 18% win ratio from 11 games. They had a solitary moment of inspiration when they chased 316 runs set by Strikers but have since been uninspiring. The players seem to have lost the fight in them and this has translated into their awful performances on the field.

Youngster Ronald Opio has tried to hold the fort with his all-round performances but they have unfortunately not been enough. When batting, he has often helplessly seen his partners easily fall, and in the bowling, lackluster fielding and dropped catches have often seen his efforts gone to waste. The Premier team have continued to disappoint and at every turn.

A Bees win looks more likely but Premier will not go down without a fight, making for an interesting match up.
