Uganda’s bowlers dominated throughout, led by Kevin Amuge, who delivered a match-winning spell of 3 for 17 in 4 overs, complemented by two sharp catches in the field. Immaculate Nakisuuyi (2/13), Naume Amongin (1/11) and Consylate Aweko Nimungu (1/10) kept the pressure on, while Canada’s innings was further dented by two run-outs.

Chasing a modest target of 68, Uganda’s captain Janet Mbabazi played a composed knock of 37 not out off 34 balls, guiding her side home with authority. Nakisuuyi chipped in with 15, while Rita Musamali added 9 before falling late in the chase.

Uganda reached 68/3 in just 12 overs, sealing the win with 48 balls remaining.
