The incident unfolded late in the 17th over of Uganda’s innings, with the score standing at 116/2 after 16.4 overs.

While pursuing the ball in the outfield, Tanzanian fielders Nasra Saidi and Hudaa Omary collided heavily at full momentum.

The impact was severe, leaving one of the players unconscious on the pitch.

Shaken by the gravity of the injuries and prioritising player welfare, the Tanzanian team management requested to forfeit the remainder of the fixture.

Match officials accepted the request in light of the distressing circumstances, officially awarding the victory to Uganda.

Prior to the unfortunate halt, the Victoria Pearls had established firm control of the contest after Tanzania won the toss and elected to field.

Uganda suffered an early blow on the fourth ball of the opening over when opener Stephanie Nampiina was run out for a duck following a sharp piece of fielding by Neema Pius.
