Cricket Uganda is proud to announce that players from the Uganda National Team and High Performance (HP) pathway programs have completed the ICC Level One Coaching Certification.

The certification was achieved by a total of 55 participants: 38 from the Uganda A Men and Emerging Team, and 17 from the Victoria Pearls.

This milestone reflects the federation’s commitment to building technical knowledge and strengthening the coaching capacity of its elite players.

The process required participants to demonstrate a clear understanding of both the theoretical and practical coaching modules under the ICC Level One framework.

This milestone is a great step for our teams as it builds their knowledge, technical capacity and helps them contribute more to player development across Uganda Cricket.

Richard Okia, Head High Performance and Pathways

By equipping national and pathway players with coaching skills, Cricket Uganda is ensuring that the next generation of cricketers benefits from improved mentorship, technical guidance, and a stronger development structure.

This achievement also aligns with Cricket Uganda’s broader vision of empowering players to become leaders, role models, and contributors to the growth of the game nationwide.
