Namibia A vs. Uganda, HP Oval – Windhoek
Windhoek – March 19: Uganda bounced back in style to defeat Namibia A by 7 wickets in the second T20 at the High Performance Oval, leveling the five-match white-ball series 1-1 and handing head coach Steve Tikolo his first win in his third stint with the Cricket Cranes.
After falling short in the opener by 8w wickets, Uganda delivered a much-improved all-round performance, executing both with the ball and bat to secure a convincing victory.
Disciplined bowling effort
Uganda, having won the toss, opted to field and made an immediate statement through Cosmas Kyewuta, who opened with a maiden over to set the tone.

Bilal Hassun complemented him well, but it was Kenneth Waiswa (2/22) who broke the game open early.
He effected a run-out of Shaun Fouché (3) before removing Zacheo Jansen Van Vuuren (11) and Nicol Loftie-Eaton (14) to leave Namibia A struggling at 47 for 3 in 8.3 overs.
Middle-order resistance halted
A counterattack followed through captain Dylan Leicher (34) and Zane Green (34), who stitched a 44-run stand to revive Namibia A.
However, Henry Ssenyondo (3/21) turned the tide decisively, dismissing both set batters and adding the wicket of Gerhard Janse van Rensburg (1) to cap a match-winning spell.
Joseph Baguma (1/25) chipped in late as Namibia A were restricted to 137 for 7 — below par on a good batting surface at the HP Oval.
Composed chase seals victory
In response, Uganda’s top order laid a solid foundation. Simon Ssesazi (20), Robinson Obuya (14), and Gerald Olipa (39) ensured a steady start, rotating strike effectively and minimizing dot balls — a key improvement from the previous game.
After early wickets, captain Riazat Ali Shah anchored the chase with an unbeaten 46, guiding the team home alongside Anas Baig (19*) as Uganda reached the target in just 18 overs.

Lessons applied
Head coach Steve Tikolo praised the team’s response after the opening loss:
We learnt a lot from our shortcomings yesterday.
The bowlers didn’t sting and the batters had too many dot balls,
Tikolo noted
We took care of the processes today. The bowlers were incisive, and the batters — especially the top order — set it up well.
The captain was there at the end to seal it
Uganda will now look to build on this momentum as seal the well-contested series when they face Namibia A in the third T20 on March 21 at the same venue.
