Result: Match tied (Super Over — Winner: Capricorn Eagles)
The Victoria Pearls played out a pulsating contest but fell just short in a high-stakes Super Over against hosts Namibia, after a 123-run tie at the High Performance Oval in Windhoek.

The contest began with Uganda’s captain, Janet Mbabazi, winning the toss and electing to field first on a competitive HP Oval surface.
That decision paid immediate dividends as the Victoria Pearls’ new-ball pairing applied relentless pressure on the Capricorn Eagles’ top order.
Sarah Walaza set the tone with an exceptional opening spell, striking twice early to remove Namibia’s captain Sunè Wittmann (24 off 24 balls) and dangerous top-order batter Kayleen Green (4 off 8 balls).

Both batters were caught behind by wicketkeeper Esther Iloku, who was sharp with the gloves from the outset.
Veteran off-spinner Consylate Aweko tightened the screws from the other end, claiming the wicket of Mekelaye Mwatile for 6.
By the end of the eighth over, Namibia was reeling at 36/3, leaving Uganda firmly in command of the powerplay and early middle overs.
With the top order dismantled, Arrasta Diergaardt stepped up to anchor the Namibian recovery.

Displaying patient aggression, Diergaardt top-scored for the hosts with 36 off 33 deliveries, striking four crisp boundaries to keep the scoreboard moving.
She found steady support from Edelle van Zyl (13 off 19 balls) before leg-spinner Sarah Akiteng broke the partnership in the 13th over.
As the innings entered the death overs, Wilka Mwatile injected crucial late firepower into the Capricorn Eagles’ total.

She launched a quickfire 22 off just 14 deliveries, smashing two fours and two towering sixes before falling to Phiona Egaru Kulume.
Sylvia Shihepo chipped in with an unbeaten 17 off 10 balls down the order to push the total forward.
Walaza returned to close out her spell, finishing with brilliant figures of 3 wickets for 18 runs across her four overs, restricting Namibia to a reachable 123/7 at the end of their 20 overs.
Chasing a target of 124 for victory, the Victoria Pearls had to navigate early pressure from the Namibian attack.
Opener Stephanie Nampiina built a solid platform with a measured 20 off 26 balls before falling in the eighth over, while captain Janet Mbabazi added a stabilising 20 off 24 deliveries.

Walking in at number three, Proscovia Alako took the fight directly to the hosts. Displaying fearless batting, Alako anchored the chase with a commanding top-score of 44 off 39 deliveries.
She punished bad balls mercilessly, cracking six boundaries and a six at a strike rate of 112.82.
Ritah Musamali kept the momentum swinging in Uganda’s direction with a brisk 17 off 16 balls.
By the 15th over, the Victoria Pearls were sitting comfortably at 97/2, needing just 27 runs from the final five overs with eight wickets in hand.

Just as Uganda appeared destined for a clinical victory, the game turned dramatically on its head.
Arrasta Diergaardt returned with the ball to deliver a match-turning spell for Namibia, mirroring Walaza’s first-innings feats by claiming 3 wickets for 21 runs in her four overs.
Diergaardt dismissed Musamali in the 16th over to break the partnership, and then delivered the crucial blow by removing the dangerous Alako for 44 in the 18th over, leaving Uganda at 110/4.

Panic set in as wickets began to tumble under the mounting pressure of the run chase.
Immaculate Nakisuuyi was bowled by Wilka Mwatile for 1 in the 19th over, and Malisa Ariokot was run out on the fourth ball of the final over.
With tension at fever pitch on the very last delivery of the 20th over – and scores level at 123 – Esther Iloku (9 off 7 balls) attempted to scamper for the winning run.
However, a sharp fielding play by Sylvia Shihepo resulted in a dramatic run-out on the final ball of the match.
The Victoria Pearls finished their 20 overs tied on exactly 123/7, forcing the contest into a Super Over.
With momentum hanging in the balance after 40 overs of gruelling cricket produced an exact 123-run deadlock, the two sides entered the six-ball eliminator to decide the match points.

Super Over Decider
Uganda (12/1): Batting first in the tiebreaker, Uganda looked to their in-form batter, Proscovia Alako, to generate a daunting total.
Alako continued her fine form, striking a crucial boundary as she accumulated 6 runs off 5 deliveries.
Supported by Stephanie Nampiina (1 run off 1 ball) alongside extras, the Victoria Pearls closed their Super Over at 12/1, setting the Capricorn Eagles a target of 13 runs to win.
Namibia (13/0): Defending 12 runs, captain Janet Mbabazi handed the ball to veteran off-spinner Consylate Aweko for the ultimate test.
However, Namibia’s Wilka Mwatile spectacularly rose to the occasion for the hosts.
Facing Aweko, Mwatile unleashed a brutal display of power-hitting, smashing 12 runs off just 5 balls – highlighted by a boundary and a towering six that swung the game decisively in Namibia’s favour.
With captain Sunè Wittmann adding a single off her solitary delivery, the Capricorn Eagles raced to 13/0 without losing a wicket, sealing the Super Over victory.
