Match Day Five of the 2026 SkyView Boys Schools Cricket Week delivered another thrilling round of Super Eight and Placement action, with Shree Sahajanand Uganda remaining the tournament’s only unbeaten side and Jinja SS becoming the first team to secure a place in the Super Eight semifinals.
Jinja SS stunned defending champions Busoga College Mwiri in the morning, while Shree Uganda defeated Soroti SS before overcoming Masaka SS in the afternoon to secure their semifinal place.
Ntare School, meanwhile, also booked their place in the last four of Super Eight B, while hosts Nyakasura advanced to the Placement semifinals.

Jinja SS vs Busoga College Mwiri – Super Eight A

Jinja SS won by 4 wickets
Jinja SS produced one of the biggest results of the tournament, defeating defending champions and record winners Busoga College Mwiri by four wickets in their second Super Eight A game.
After losing the toss, Mwiri were sent in to bat and posted 140/5, with captain Ryan Agaba leading the way with 54 off 52 balls, supported by Abubakar Tigatola’s 40 off 26.
Jinja, however, held their nerve in the chase. Michu Faizo struck 36 off 31, Geoffrey Ogola remained unbeaten on 30 off 31, while Kenneth Isiko added 24 off 14 as Jinja reached the target with an over to spare.
The victory secured Jinja’s place in the semifinals. Their afternoon win over St. John’s HS Kauga confirmed them as Super Eight A winners.
Mwiri, who opened the Super Eight with victory, now face a must-win clash against debutants Lango College on Friday to keep their title defence alive.

Shree Sahajanand Uganda maintained their unbeaten run with a five-wicket victory over Soroti SS.
The result gave Shree their first Super Eight win and kept their perfect tournament record intact ahead of their afternoon clash against Masaka SS.

St. John’s won by 94 runs
St. John’s HS Kauga kept their semifinal hopes alive with a commanding 94-run victory over Lango College.

Shree Sahajanand Uganda joined Ntare School in the Super Eight semifinals after a convincing 22-run victory over Masaka SS.
Shree posted 146/8 before bowling Masaka out for 124 in 19.4 overs, with Shubh Nayee leading the attack with three wickets.
The victory was Shree’s second of the Super Eight and maintained their status as the tournament’s only unbeaten team.
Shree and Ntare will meet on Friday in their final Super Eight B game, with the encounter deciding the group winner.
The winner will face either Mwiri or St. John’s, while the runners-up will meet Jinja SS in the semifinals.
Masaka and Soroti remain without a Super Eight victory and are out of semifinal contention. They will meet in their final group game on Friday.
Ntare School vs Soroti SS – Super Eight B

Ntare School won by 17 runs
Ntare School booked their place in the semifinals after surviving a low-scoring thriller against Soroti SS.
The Mbarara side, who won the toss and opted to bat, struggled with the bat and were bowled out for just 56 in 16.4 overs, with Brian Aryatunga the only batter to reach double figures with 11.
Their bowlers, however, produced an outstanding response. Innocent Ahabwe claimed three wickets, Elton Musiime and Moses Ahabwe took two each, while Dareen Ampaire picked one as Soroti were dismissed for 39.
The victory secured Ntare a semifinal place alongside Shree Uganda.
Jinja SS vs St. John’s HS Kauga – Super Eight A

Jinja SS completed a perfect day with a three-wicket victory over St. John’s HS Kauga.
Having earlier defeated defending champions Mwiri, Jinja held their nerve again to chase down St. John’s total and confirm their position at the top of Super Eight A.
Nyakasura School vs Shree International – Placement D

Nyakasura won by 17 runs
Hosts Nyakasura booked their place in the Placement semifinals after defeating Shree International by 17 runs.
The victory was Nyakasura’s second of the day after their morning win over Ndejje SS, confirming them as Placement D winners.
They will now face the winners of Placement A in the semifinals.
For Shree International, the search for a first win in Fort Portal continues.
St. Cornelius SS vs Rwenzori HS – Placement A

St. Cornelius won by 3 wickets
St. Cornelius SS kept their Placement A semifinal hopes alive with a three-wicket victory over Rwenzori HS.
The group remains open, with St. Cornelius, St. James’ SS and Rwenzori still in contention for the remaining semifinal place.
Gulu HS vs Uganda Martyrs College – Placement B

Gulu HS won by 65 runs
Gulu High School bounced back with a commanding 65-run victory over Uganda Martyrs College.
Yahaya Makomeri and Christian Mulindwa each claimed four wickets for Uganda Martyrs, but Gulu’s total proved too much as the northern side opened up the Placement B race.
Uganda Martyrs had earlier defeated Kasese in the morning, leaving them level on points with Gulu.
The group winner will be decided on Friday when Gulu face Kasese.
SEMIFINAL PICTURE
The Super Eight semifinal picture is beginning to take shape, with Jinja SS already through from Super Eight A and Shree Uganda and Ntare School through from Super Eight B.
Shree Uganda and Ntare will meet on Friday to determine the Super Eight B winner, while Mwiri and St. John’s Kauga remain in contention for the second semifinal place from Super Eight A.
In the Placement competition, hosts Nyakasura have secured their semifinal place as Placement D winners.
