Rounders CC opened their Boundary Banters T20 campaign with a commanding 25-run victory over Centurion CC in the morning fixture at Entebbe Cricket Ground.

After winning the toss, Rounders opted to bat and recovered from early setbacks to post 120/4 in their 15 overs.

Ronald Magezi anchored the innings with a well-crafted unbeaten 53, providing stability through the middle phase.

Yasin Ngobi Hussen then injected momentum with a rapid 42 not out off 24 balls, ensuring Rounders finished strongly after losing quick wickets early on.

In response, Centurion CC showed glimpses of promise but struggled to keep up with the required rate.

Conrad Lubwama top-scored with 34, while Phillip Arinaitwe added 17, but the chase lacked continuity.

Rounders’ bowlers kept things tight, with Narinder Singh and Yasin Ngobi picking up two wickets each.

Their disciplined approach restricted Centurion to 95/7, sealing a comfortable win.

In the afternoon clash Rounders CC completed a dominant double over Centurion CC with a 28-run victory, capping off a perfect day in the Boundary Banters T20.

Batting first once again, Rounders posted an imposing 153/5 in their 20 overs.

Paul Mulongo led the charge with an aggressive 46, while Zulu Walaza anchored the innings with 36 before retiring not out.

Eddie Agaba provided a late surge, smashing 23 off just 10 deliveries to push the total beyond 150.

In reply, Centurion CC were anchored by Brian Mark Masaba’s fighting 52, but lacked sufficient support from the rest of the batting lineup.

Early wickets disrupted their chase, making the target increasingly difficult.

Rushik Kanji Ghodadara starred with the ball, picking up four wickets, while Emmanuel Sebowa added three to dismantle Centurion’s batting order.

Centurion were eventually bowled out for 125 in 19 overs, as Rounders wrapped up a convincing win to complete a clean sweep on the day.
