Uganda won the toss and elected to bat first, making one change to the side that defeated Nigeria, with Kenneth Isiko coming in for Eric Mukisa.

The innings got off to the worst possible start as Devanshkumar Ritesh Patel fell to the first legal delivery, caught at point.

However, Uganda responded in emphatic fashion, racing to 75/1 inside the opening 10 overs before taking complete control of the contest.

Samuel Ahaisibwe continued his impressive tournament with a fluent 77 off 53 balls, striking 12 boundaries before departing in the 18th over. His attacking approach laid the platform for Uganda’s middle order to dominate.
