The 2026 UG20 Men’s Tournament enters Day Five this weekend with fixtures on October 3 and 4, as teams continue their push for places in the knockout stages.
In Group D, Mukono Warriors face a crucial clash against GM Sugar at New GM Sugar Oval, with the result set to have a major impact on the playoff race.
Day Five Fixtures

October 3
Wanderers vs Mukono Development – Lugogo Oval
In Group B, Mukono Development will be looking forward to a good start to their campaign when they take on Wanderers at Lugogo Cricket Oval in the opening fixture of Day Five.
Mukono Development have not played a game this season and will be hoping for a positive beginning, while Wanderers have played two games, winning one and losing one against Centurion.
Wanderers are currently second in the group and, despite becoming a development team, they reached the knockout stages last season and will be hoping for a similar run this year.
Mukono Development, who failed to get out of the group last season, will be looking forward to improving their campaign and reaching the knockout stages this year.
October 4
GM Sugar vs Mukono Warriors – New GM Sugar Oval
In Group D, the game to watch this weekend will be a potential fate-decider in the race for the playoffs when GM Sugar face Mukono Warriors.
If GM Sugar win both games against Warriors on Sunday, JACC will remain in firm contention for a place in the knockout stages, while two wins for Mukono Warriors would knock JACC out of the race.
Both teams will be at full strength, with their national team players available for the match.
GM Sugar are unbeaten and sit second on the table behind JACC. They have played four games and won all four, collecting eight points.
Playing at home could give GM Sugar an advantage as they look to maintain their unbeaten run.
Mukono Warriors are third with six points, having played four games, winning three and losing one.
JACC, who have only two games remaining against Iganga, will be hoping Mukono Warriors can stumble against GM Sugar as they look to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Kutchi Tigers vs Tornado – Lugogo Oval
In Group A, table toppers Kutchi Tigers will take on fourth-placed Tornado Cricket Club.
Kutchi Tigers have played six matches, winning three, losing two and recording one no-result, leaving them with seven points. They will be looking to collect more points and strengthen their position at the top.
Tornado have two points after playing two games, winning one and losing one against Soroti City Cricket Club. They will be looking to revive their campaign with a positive result.
Ceylon vs Pak Shaheens – Entebbe Oval
Ceylon and UG20 debutants Pak Shaheens will meet at Entebbe Cricket Oval in a Group B encounter.
Ceylon had mixed results last Sunday against SKLPS, winning one game and losing the other, and they will now be looking to bounce back to winning ways.
Ceylon will have the advantage of facing a team making its UG20 debut, although Pak Shaheens have Robert Owili in their squad, a player capable of changing the game against any opposition.
Jinja SSS vs ACC – Jinja Oval
In Group D, Africa Cricket Club will make the short trip to Jinja to face Jinja SSS at their home ground.
ACC will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after losing to JACC last Sunday, while Jinja SSS will also be looking to return to winning ways after losing to Mukono Warriors at home.
Both teams have a strong composition of schoolboys, making their meeting an evenly matched contest.
Jinja SSS will be looking forward to the return of opening batter Juma Ssenyondo, who was unavailable last Sunday, while ACC will hope to have veterans Rokani Sylvester and Emmy Odeng available.
This is a bottom-of-the-table clash, with Jinja SSS sitting last and ACC second last. Both teams have struggled in their campaigns so far.
Jinja SSS are winless after six games, while ACC have managed just one win in six matches, with their only victory coming against Iganga.
Jinja’s home advantage could prove important at a time when ACC have struggled for consistency.
Chennai vs Nile – Florida Oval
In Group C, UG20 debutants Chennai will be looking to remain at the top of the group when they take on Nile at Florida Oval.
Chennai lead Group C with six points after playing four games, winning three and losing one.
Nile are fourth, second from bottom, having played two games, losing to Tornado Bees on the opening day and recording one no-result. They have three points.
Nile will be looking forward to having their schoolboys from Busoga College Mwiri available for the game as they look to challenge the group leaders.
Aboojo vs Kifaru – GM Sugar Oval
In Group A, last year’s finalists Aboojo will be in action for the first time this year when they take on UG20 debutants Kifaru at GM Sugar Oval.
Aboojo will be looking to launch another strong campaign this year after reaching last season’s final.
Kifaru had mixed results last Sunday. Their morning game against Kutchi Tigers at Lugogo was abandoned, while they lost in the afternoon after failing to chase down 249 runs despite having their full squad available.
They will immediately be looking to bounce back to winning ways.
The match comes with Aboojo’s Joseph Baguma and Innocent Mwebaze available for selection, and their experience will be important as Aboojo look to start their campaign on a high.
With the playoff race beginning to take shape, Day Five promises important fixtures across all four groups, but the Group D clash between GM Sugar and Mukono Warriors could have a significant bearing on the teams battling for the knockout places.
