The London Nigerians Cricket Club (LNCC) bounced back strongly in their tour, edging out a determined Umpires & Scorers XI by just 6 runs in a high-scoring 25-over thriller at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Captain Ositadinma Onwuzulike won the toss and opted to bat. Ademola Onikoyi and Onwuzulike himself lit up the innings with aggressive half-centuries.
Onikoyi smashed 55 off 28 balls, including 6 fours and 3 sixes, while Onwuzulike hammered 62 off 33 deliveries with 5 fours and 5 sixes.
Their partnership powered LNCC to a flying start, but the middle order struggled against tight bowling.
Shola Anyia added 16, and Olusegun Bucknor provided a late burst with 16 off 6 balls (1 four, 2 sixes).
However, wickets tumbled regularly, and LNCC were bowled out for 207 in the final over. Mathias Kamukama starred for the Umpires with 3/14 in 3 overs.

Despite a valiant effort and 22 extras from LNCC, the Umpires fell short at 201/9. The 6-run victory meant LNCC’s first win of their Tour to Uganda after falling to Chairman’s XI on Monday.
