Matchday Seven of the Cricket Uganda Men’s 50-Over League delivered another round of dominant and clinical performances, with Kutchi Tigers CC, Tornado CC, and Avengers CC all producing commanding victories across the Gold, Bronze, and Silver divisions respectively.

From a ruthless batting display in Lugogo to disciplined bowling performances in Jinja and Florida Cricket Oval, the day was defined by one-sided encounters and standout individual brilliance.

Kutchi Tigers CC vs Aboojo– Lugogo Cricket Oval

Kutchi Tigers CC produced a devastating all-round performance to hammer Aboojo CC by 108 runs at Lugogo Cricket Oval in a one-sided Gold League encounter.

After being asked to bat, Kutchi Tigers CC posted 149 all out in 29.1 overs in a fluctuating innings that still proved more than enough.

Nitin Jeshani provided early momentum with a quick 30 off 23 balls, while Hasin Ashani added a solid 34 off 39 deliveries.

Mayur Hirani anchored the innings with 39 off 73 balls.

For Aboojo CC, Baguma Joseph and Dan Keith Amani each picked up three wickets, while Stephen Aliganyira also claimed three as they managed to keep the Tigers under 150.

However, the chase turned into a nightmare as Aboojo CC collapsed for just 41 runs in 8 overs.

Only Joseph Baguma offered brief resistance with a blazing 21 off 7 balls.

Kutchi Tigers’ bowling attack was ruthless, led by Paresh Patel who ripped through the batting order with a match-winning 5-wicket haul.

Avengers CC vs St. John’s SS Mukono – Florida Cricket Oval

Avengers CC produced a commanding all-round display to outclass St. John’s SS Mukono by 113 runs at Akbar Baig Cricket Ground.

Batting first, Avengers CC posted a strong 191 in 44.1 overs, built on key contributions across the order.

Timothy Kawanguzi made 37 off 41 balls, while Hariom Dudharejiya added 26 off 51 deliveries.

The standout performance came from Atul Rana, who struck a brilliant unbeaten 56 off 50 balls, including four sixes, to lift his side to a strong total.

St. John’s SS Mukono’s bowlers Otieno Wilson and Ronald Mulumba each picked up three wickets, while Brian Kimaleni added one.

In response, St. John’s SS Mukono collapsed for just 78 in 25.1 overs.

Daniel Rubangakene fought hard with 36 off 56 balls but lacked support from the rest of the batting lineup.

Avengers’ bowling attack was relentless, with Yashashvi Joshi and Sahil Wadhwa both claiming 3 wickets each, while Nasta Girish added 2 to seal a dominant win.

Tornado CC held their nerve in a tense low-scoring contest to defeat Jinja SS CC by 5 wickets at Jinja SSS Cricket Ground.

Jinja SS CC struggled for rhythm after being put in to bat, collapsing for just 86 in 37.1 overs. Ogala Geofrey top-scored with 19 off 40 balls, while Ayub Rashid added 23 off 45 deliveries.

Tornado’s bowling attack was disciplined, with Lawrence Ssempijja leading the charge with 3 wickets.

Jaffer Ochaya also impressed with 3 wickets, while Moses Kitara added 2 to keep constant pressure on the batting side.

In reply, Tornado CC had a shaky start but recovered through key partnerships to reach 87/5 in 19.5 overs.

Ssempijja anchored the chase with an unbeaten 27 off 43 balls, guiding his side home.

Oburu Patrick added a quick 13 off 12 balls, while Jinja SS bowlers Ayena Patrick and Owinya Caleb each claimed two wickets in a spirited effort.
