The CU Women’s T20 National League Division Two continued with another day of competitive action, as JACC maintained their unbeaten run with a double over Tornado CC, while Africa Cricket Club (ACC) secured two victories over Nile CC to make a strong start to their campaign.
Morning Fixture – JACC vs Tornado CC (Jinja SS Oval)
Result: JACC 194/8 beat Tornado CC 60/9 by 134 runs
JACC won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a commanding 194 for 8 in their 20 overs against Tornado CC.
Immaculate Nakisuuyi top-scored with a brilliant 78 off 63 balls, while Rita Musamali added 53 off 45 deliveries.
Kevin Awino contributed 20 as JACC built a strong total despite losing wickets regularly.
Paula Mwebaza and Cynthia Malinge Faith picked up two wickets each for Tornado CC, while Nasuuna Alexandria, Nabisere Angel Faith, Blessing Noeline Apio and Muslim Entails Chelsea claimed one wicket apiece.
In reply, Tornado CC struggled against a disciplined and experienced JACC bowling attack and were restricted to 60 for 9 in their 20 overs.
Blessing Noeline Apio top-scored with 18 off 13 balls, while Justine Nakawunde made 5 and Angel Faith Nabisere added 3.
Mirembe Lydia led the JACC bowling attack with three wickets for 10 runs from four overs, while Immaculate Nakisuuyi and Mukanza Patricia claimed two wickets each.
Briana Natukunda also picked up two wickets as JACC kept Tornado CC under constant pressure eventually secured a comprehensive 134-run victory

Afternoon Fixture – Tornado CC vs JACC (Jinja SS Oval)
Result: JACC 59/1 beat Tornado CC 56 all out by 9 wickets
Tornado CC won the toss and elected to bat first but were bowled out for 56 in 19.3 overs after another disciplined JACC bowling display.
Paula Mwebaza top-scored with 8 off 17 balls, while Angel Akesianut also made 8 off 27 deliveries.
Angel Faith Nabisere added 7, but regular wickets left Tornado CC struggling to build any momentum.
Jackie Lalam led the JACC attack with two wickets for 10 runs from four overs, while Jovia Mirembe, Mirab Kiiza, Immaculate Nakisuuyi, Mirembe Lydia, Natukunda Briana and Iracha Patricia also picked up wickets.
In reply, JACC chased down the target in just 5.4 overs, finishing on 59 for 1 to secure a nine-wicket victory.
Kevin Awino anchored the chase with an unbeaten 31 off 18 balls, while Rita Musamali remained unbeaten on 22 off 14 deliveries.
Lalam Jackie was the only JACC batter to fall, dismissed for a duck.
The comfortable victory earned JACC another two points as they completed a double over Tornado CC.

Result: Africa CC 85/9 beat Nile CC 61/6 by 24 runs
Africa CC won the toss and elected to bat first, posting 85 for 9 in their 15 overs against Nile CC.
Resty Nalumansi top-scored with a brilliant 55 off 43 balls, striking nine boundaries, while Nakyanzi Scovia added three.
Africa CC struggled to build partnerships after Resty’s dismissal, with Zawede Catherine claiming three wickets for Nile CC.
Baka Patricia and Daphine Nansubuga picked up two wickets each, while Hope Tandeka also took one wicket.
In reply, Nile CC finished on 61 for 6 in their 15 overs, falling 24 runs short of the target.
Daphine Nansubuga top-scored with 14 off 26 balls, while Dorothy Mudondo added 8. However, disciplined bowling from Africa CC kept the chase under control.
Jackline Nampaamu led the attack with two wickets for 10 runs from three overs, while Scovia Nakyanzi, Adio Sarah, Resty Nalumansi and Queen Gladys Aitasi claimed a wicket each.
Africa CC secured a 24-run victory to earn first two points of the campaign.

Result: Africa CC 106/7 beat Nile CC 96/6 by 10 runs
Africa CC won the toss and elected to bat first, posting 106 for 7 in their 18 overs.
Nalumansi Resty top-scored with 27 off 32 balls, while Mbindule Catherine added 23 off 26 deliveries.
Nampaamu Jackline remained unbeaten on 8 as Africa CC posted a competitive total.
Baka Patricia and Tandeka Hope picked up two wickets each for Nile CC, while Nansubuga Daphine and Zawede Catherine claimed one wicket apiece.
In reply, Nile CC finished on 96 for 6 in their 18 overs, falling 10 runs short of the target.
Catherine Zawede led the chase with 41 off 48 balls, including five boundaries, while captain Vivian Nganda added 14.
However, ACC held their nerve in the final overs to secure victory.
