Match Day Three of the 2026 SkyView Boys Schools Cricket Week delivered a major shake-up in the race for the Super Eight, with Shree Sahajanand Uganda, Soroti SS, defending champions Busoga College Mwiri, five-time champions Jinja SS and debutants Lango College all securing qualification, while hosts Nyakasura School endured a difficult day, suffering two defeats to Soroti SS and Jinja SS to bow out of the competition.

Nyakasura School vs Soroti SS – Kichwamba 2

Soroti won by 45 runs
Eastern Region champions Soroti SS secured their place in the Super Eight as Group C leaders after recording their third victory of the tournament with a 45-run win over hosts Nyakasura School.
Soroti posted 109 before bowling out Nyakasura for 64.
Daniel Echweru led the bowling attack with four wickets, taking his tournament tally to eight as Soroti maintained their strong run in the competition.
Nyakasura’s defeat ended their hopes of progressing to the Super Eight.
Uganda Martyrs College vs Jinja SS – SLECK 1

Jinja SS won by 8 wickets
Five-time champions Jinja SS strengthened their Super Eight hopes with an eight-wicket victory over Uganda Martyrs College.
Daniel Matte produced the tournament’s first five-wicket haul as Jinja bowled out Uganda Martyrs for 70.
Jinja then comfortably chased down the target to move closer to qualification. They needed a victory over hosts Nyakasura in the afternoon to secure their place in the Super Eight.

Shree Uganda won by 5 wickets
Shree Sahajanand Uganda became the first team to qualify for the Super Eight after completing the group stage with a perfect four wins from four.
Kasese SS posted 63/9 after opting to bat first, but Shree Uganda chased down the target inside 14 overs.
The result confirmed Shree Uganda as Group D winners, while Kasese completed their group campaign without a win.

The result ended Ndejje’s qualification hopes as they suffered their third defeat of the group stage.
Masaka moved into second place in Group B and now need one more victory from their remaining games to secure qualification.
Busoga College Mwiri vs Ntare School – SLECK 2

Busoga College won by 57 runs
Defending champions Busoga College Mwiri became the third team to book their place in the Super Eight after beating Ntare School by 57 runs.
After choosing to bat first, Mwiri posted 149/7, with Trevor Azikiriza leading the scoring with 47 off 28 balls while captain Ryan Agaba added 39 off 35.
Trevor Mugaita then starred with the ball, claiming four wickets as Mwiri bowled Ntare out for 92 in 16.5 overs.
Brian Aryatunga top-scored for Ntare with 35 off 23, but lacked sufficient support as the Mbarara side fell short.
Ntare still have a chance to qualify with two games remaining and will need victories in both matches to keep their hopes alive.

Nyakasura School vs Jinja SS – Nyakasura

Jinja SS won by 10 wickets
Five-time champions Jinja SS completed their qualification with a dominant 10-wicket victory over hosts Nyakasura School.
Jinja’s bowlers were ruthless, dismissing Nyakasura for just 50 in 17.3 overs.
Adam Huzaifa claimed four wickets, while Kenneth Isiko took three. Daniel Matte, fresh from his five-wicket haul against Uganda Martyrs in the morning, added two wickets.
Jinja then raced to 51 without loss to seal their third consecutive victory and book their place in the Super Eight.
Nyakasura will now move into the Placement Games.
St. John’s HS Kauga vs Masaka SS – Kichwamba 2
St. John’s 68/10 | Masaka 69/8
Masaka SS won by 2 wickets
Masaka SS produced one of the day’s biggest results, defeating unbeaten St. John’s HS Kauga by two wickets.
The victory moved Masaka to second in Group B on nine points, keeping their Super Eight hopes firmly alive.
St. John’s suffered their first defeat of the tournament but remain in control of their qualification destiny.
They face St. James’ SS in their final group game, with the result likely to determine the second team from Group B to progress.
St. Cornelius SS vs Soroti SS – Canon Apollo

Debutants St. Cornelius SS handed Soroti SS their first defeat of the tournament with a thrilling two-wicket victory.
Soroti were bowled out for 101 in 18.4 overs before St. Cornelius chased down the target, completing the win in their allotted overs.
The defeat did not affect Soroti’s qualification as they had already secured their Super Eight place.
St. Cornelius will now head into the Placement Games.
Busoga College Mwiri vs Kira College – Kichwamba 1

Busoga College won by 10 wickets
Defending champions Busoga College Mwiri completed the group stage with a perfect record after defeating Kira College by 10 wickets.
Kira managed 51/6 before Mwiri raced to 52 without loss.
The victory confirmed Mwiri as Group A leaders with maximum points, while Kira’s defeat ended their hopes of reaching the Super Eight.
Kira will face Gulu HS in their final group game before heading into the Placement Games.
Olila HS vs Kasese SS – SLECK 2

Olila HS secured their second victory of the tournament with a 60-run win over Kasese SS.
Olila posted 143/4 before bowling Kasese out for 83.
The result leaves Olila set to finish third in Group D and head into the Placement Games with momentum.
Kasese remain without a win but will have one final opportunity to end their campaign on a positive note when they face Rwenzori HS.
Lango College vs Rwenzori HS – SLECK 1

Lango College won by 35 runs DLS
Debutants Lango College secured their place in the Super Eight after overcoming Rwenzori HS by 35 runs under the DLS method in a rain-affected encounter.
Lango finished the group stage with three victories, earning them second place in Group D behind Shree Sahajanand Uganda.
The result confirmed Lango as the latest team to qualify for the Super Eight.
