Busoga College Mwiri delivered a statement performance in the boys’ category, outclassing Kenya’s Arya Boys by a staggering 119 runs.
Asked to bat first after losing the toss, Mwiri unleashed a furious onslaught to build a towering total of 165/6 in their allotted 20 overs.
Tigatola Abubaker was the architect of the innings, smashing a blistering 68 off 47 balls (9 fours, 1 six), with solid support from Kiberu Hadad (20 off 25) and quickfire late runs from Jordan Okecho (16* off 11).
In response, Arya Boys’ run chase was dismantled before it ever got off the ground. Mwiri’s opening bowler Jordan Okecho produced one of the most destructive spells of the tournament, taking a triple-wicket maiden in the very first over to leave Arya Boys reeling at 0/3.

In the morning girls’ fixture, Sacred Heart Secondary School Gulu produced an equally dominant display, crushing Kenya’s Mwangaza by 10 wickets.
After winning the toss and opting to bowl, Sacred Heart’s bowling attack hunted as a pack, skittling out Mwangaza for just 43 runs in 13.5 overs.
Lakica Okema led the bowling attack with lethal precision, taking 3 for 4 in 2.5 overs. Hanifa Noreen provided strong support with 2 for 20, while Ninsiima Peace (1/6), Akidi Petra (0/2 in 3 overs), and Anek Patricia Ambrose (1/6) maintained unrelenting pressure, complemented by three sharp team run-outs.
