Season Two of the BATBALL Program continues to build momentum after the exciting BATBALL X Jinja T10, a four-day showcase that featured four fiercely competitive teams.
With the Jinja chapter wrapped up just a week ago, attention now turns to Entebbe for the next major instalment: the MAXX T20 Challenge Cup, kicking off tomorrow, 7th December 2025, and running for 15 days.
Stepping up from the T10 opener, the MAXX T20 Challenge Cup offers a bigger platform — 84 players spread across six teams — all battling for qualification spots in next year’s flagship event, BATBALL MAXX.
As the official pathway tournament, every match and every individual performance will be crucial in determining who earns a place on the biggest stage of Season Two.
The six participating squads are made up entirely of homegrown talent from Uganda’s rapidly advancing cricket development system.
The player pool includes standout performers from the BATBALL X Jinja T10, promising youngsters rising through Cricket Uganda’s structures, national team regulars, and top-level club cricketers.
Fans can expect an exciting blend of experience, youth, skill, and high-intensity action.
Competition will unfold in a double round-robin format, delivering 30 matches across 15 days of continuous double-headers — a true examination of consistency, teamwork, and resilience.
At the end of the campaign, the team topping the table will be crowned champions.

The BATBALL MAXX T20 Challenge Cup is the bridge between our grassroots Jinja T10 ecosystem and the elite MAXX T20 stage.It allows us to recognise in-form, consistent senior players from the national and club circuits, while also grading every athlete into the right match-fee category for MAXX T20.
Most importantly, it gives both development and senior talent more game time, sharper competition, and global visibility — exactly what Uganda’s cricketing pathway needs to keep rising.
Each matchday will feature two games, all streamed live to a global audience — ensuring fans everywhere can follow the action.
As a new addition to the BATBALL Program, the MAXX T20 Challenge Cup aims to elevate competition, strengthen the development pathway, and guarantee that only the best-performing athletes advance to BATBALL MAXX Season Two.
