Match Day Two of the 2026 SkyView Boys Schools Cricket Week delivered the tournament’s first century as Central Region champions Shree Sahajanand Uganda strengthened their push for the Super Eight.

Five-time champions Jinja SS bounced back from their opening-day defeat to Soroti SS, while defending champions Busoga College Mwiri also began their title defence with a win.

St. John’s HS Kauga and Shree Sahajanand Uganda both secured their places in the Super Eight after maintaining perfect starts to their campaigns.

Jinja SS vs St. Cornelius SS – SLECK 1

Jinja SS won by 67 runs

Five-time champions Jinja SS bounced back from their opening-day defeat to Soroti SS with a convincing 67-run victory over debutants St. Cornelius.

Batting first, Jinja posted 135/6, with Ben Solomon Mulindwa top-scoring with 35.

St. Cornelius struggled in the chase and were bowled out for 68 in 15.3 overs, suffering their second Group C defeat.

Daniel Matte starred with the ball, claiming four wickets for seven runs, while Enock Muwanguzi added three wickets.

Busoga College Mwiri vs Gulu HS – Canon Apollo

Busoga College won by 29 runs

Defending champions Busoga College Mwiri began their title defence with a 29-run victory over Gulu HS.

Trevor Azikiriza was the star for Mwiri, scoring 57 off 42 balls to help his side post 128 before returning to claim three wickets.

Gulu put up a strong fight but were bowled out for 99, giving Mwiri their first Group A victory.

The result leaves all four teams in Group A with at least one win.

Central Region champions Shree Sahajanand Uganda won a closely contested Group D top-of-the-table clash against unbeaten Lango College.

Shree secured a 16-run victory to move to the top of the group, level on points with Lango but ahead on net run rate.

The result ended Lango College’s unbeaten start after the debutants had won both their opening-day matches.

Olila HS vs Rwenzori HS – Kicwamba 1

Olila HS won by 24 runs

Olila HS picked up their first victory of the tournament after defeating Rwenzori HS by 24 runs.

Moses Otim was the standout performer with the bat, scoring 51 off 50 balls to help Olila post 78.

Captain Thomas Ariko then led the defence with three wickets as Rwenzori were bowled out for 54.

St. James’ SS vs St. John’s HS, Kauga – Nyakasura

St. John’s HS Kauga continued their impressive start with a nine-wicket victory over St. James’ SS.

After restricting St. James’ to 90/9, St. John’s raced to the target in 11.1 overs.

Jonathan Nyenya scored an unbeaten 35, while Derrick Oketcho finished unbeaten on 36 as St. John’s secured their second Group B win.

Kira College vs Ntare School – Kicwamba 2

Ntare School began their campaign with a four-wicket victory over Kira College in a closely contested Group A encounter.

Kira posted 107/4, with Usher Mwange scoring an unbeaten 55.

In reply, Innocent Aijuka produced an all-round performance, taking two wickets before scoring 34 to guide Ntare over the line.

Devansh Patel produced the standout performance of Match Day Two, smashing the first century of the 2026 tournament as Shree Sahajanand Uganda thrashed Olila HS by 113 runs.

The Baby Cricket Cranes all-rounder smashed 125 off just 57 balls, including 10 fours and 11 sixes, at a remarkable strike rate of 219.30.

Patel’s explosive innings helped Shree post 189/3, the highest total of the tournament so far.

Olila were then bowled out for 76 as Shree secured their third Group D victory and booked their place in the Super Eight with a game to spare.

St. John’s HS, Kauga vs GoodHeart – Kicwamba 1

St. John’s HS Kauga secured their place in the Super Eight with a six-wicket victory over GoodHeart SS.

The win maintained their perfect start, with St. John’s winning all three of their opening Group B games.

GoodHeart suffered their third defeat and remain without a win in the group.

Shree International vs Busoga College Mwiri – Kicwamba 2

Record winners Busoga College Mwiri moved closer to the Super Eight with a six-wicket victory over Shree International.

Captain Ryan Agaba led the bowling effort with four wickets as Shree International were bowled out for 63.

Trevor Mugaita and Alphi Bainomugisha added three and two wickets respectively before Mwiri completed the chase to register their second Group A win.

Shree International remain bottom of the group without a point.

Gulu HS vs Ntare School – Nyakasura

Ntare School strengthened their qualification hopes with a 16-run victory over Gulu HS.

The result moved Ntare level on points with Group A leaders Busoga College Mwiri, with one more win from their remaining two games enough to secure a Super Eight place.

Ntare face defending champions Mwiri on Tuesday before completing their group campaign against Shree International.

St. Cornelius SS vs Uganda Martyrs College – Canon Apollo

St. Cornelius SS won by 55 runs

Debutants St. Cornelius SS registered their first victory of the tournament with a convincing 55-run win over fellow debutants Uganda Martyrs College.

St. Cornelius posted 114/8 before bowling out Uganda Martyrs for 59 in 11.3 overs.

Uganda Martyrs remain the only winless team in Group C.

St. James’ SS vs Ndejje SS – SLECK 1

St. James’ SS won by 20 runs

St. James’ SS kept their Super Eight hopes alive with a 20-run victory over Ndejje SS.

The result moved St. James’ to second in Group B on six points, with victory over Masaka SS in their final group game enough to secure qualification.

Ndejje’s hopes have suffered a major setback as they remain without a point.

Match Day Two delivered the tournament’s first century and several important results in the race for the Super Eight.

Devansh Patel stole the spotlight with a stunning 125 off 57 balls as Shree Sahajanand Uganda secured their third straight win and became the first team from Group D to qualify.

St. John’s HS Kauga also booked their Super Eight place after making it three wins from three, while Jinja SS bounced back strongly from their opening-day defeat.

Defending champions Busoga College Mwiri also made a winning start, while Ntare School and St. James’ SS strengthened their qualification hopes.

The penultimate round of group games now takes centre stage, with the qualification race set to intensify as teams fight for the remaining Super Eight places.
