Cricket Uganda visited 88.8 CBS FM on Tuesday to feature on the popular Kaliisoliiso show, where Honorary Secretary Denis Musali officially handed over a plaque of contribution worth 3 million UGX to support the drive for the Nkozi Hospital Accident & Trauma Centre.
Musali was assisted by People, Culture and Communications Lead Edgar Kazibwe who also joined show hosts Abbey Mukiibi, Abu Kawenja, Peace Diane Bagala, and Rajab Bogere Kanakulya for an engaging morning broadcast.
The live session centered on the rapid growth of cricket across Uganda, grassroots talent pathways, and the ongoing nationwide effort to make the sport accessible to every community.
During the appearance, Cricket Uganda formally thanked the CBS FM team and the Kaliisoliiso crew for consistently using their massive platform to champion sports development and elevate the cricket cause across the country.
Demonstrating a strong commitment to community welfare beyond the boundary rope, the 3 million UGX handed over also purchased a table for Cricket Uganda at the annual Kaliisoliiso Dinner.
Hosted by CBS FM UG alongside partners including the Buganda Kingdom, the Catholic Church, and Rotary District 9213, the much-anticipated fundraising dinner takes place on September 11, 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m. at Hotel Africana in Kampala.
All proceeds from the evening will go directly toward the primary goal of raising funds to complete the Nkozi Hospital Accident & Trauma Centre, supporting road safety and treating accident casualties.
The collaboration highlights how sports entities in Uganda are increasingly leveraging their platforms to drive social impact, recognizing that athletic excellence must go hand-in-hand with national development.
By actively engaging with prominent public platforms like CBS FM, Cricket Uganda continued to foster meaningful relationships with cultural, religious, and civic leaders to build a more holistic sports ecosystem.
This initiative underscored a shared vision that extends far beyond athletic competition, uniting diverse sectors of society behind a common humanitarian goal that will ultimately save lives on Ugandan roads.
Sharing his thoughts on the visit and the partnership with CBS FM, Denis Musali emphasized the deeper role of sports organizations in societal well-being:
