The stage is set in Soroti as the Cricket Uganda Soroti Women’s T20 enters its most thrilling chapter yet, with the race for glory narrowing down to four deserving contenders.
After a pulsating final round of group-stage matches last Sunday, the semi-final lineup is now confirmed, setting up a weekend of high-stakes cricket at the City Oval.
At the summit of the standings, Kichinjaji and Pamba finished level on four wins apiece, separated only by net run rate, with Kichinjaji edging ahead to claim top spot.
Both sides have been consistent throughout, blending discipline with match-winning moments.
Close behind, Amen and Nakatunya also secured their semi-final places, each demonstrating resilience and timely brilliance to stay in contention.
For Campswahili and Senior Quarters, however, the journey ends at the group stage after falling short of the top four.
The final round perfectly captured the intensity of the competition. Pamba’s 16-run victory over Kichinjaji was a statement result, underlining their tactical strength and depth.
After setting a modest target, Pamba’s bowlers rose to the occasion, with Josephine Alayo and Sylvia Awicho leading a disciplined effort that dismantled Kichinjaji’s chase.
In the other standout fixture, Amen delivered a commanding nine-wicket win over Senior Quarters, powered by outstanding unbeaten knocks from Immaculate Nandera (57*) and Divine Nyamer (62*), a performance that firmly announced their intent heading into the knockouts.
Individual brilliance has lit up the tournament as Mercy Tracy Kongai of Kichinjaji leads the batting charts with 165 runs, while her teammates Ruth Ilongu and Joan Nabasekka, both with eight wickets, have spearheaded their bowling attack.
Amen’s duo of Immaculate Nandera (170 runs) and Nyamer Divine (160 runs) have been equally impressive, consistently anchoring innings and thriving under pressure.

Now, all eyes turn to the semi-finals where Kichinjaji will face Nakatunya in the morning clash at the City Oval, while Pamba take on Amen simultaneously at Madera Ground. The winners will then return to the City Oval for the grand final, where the champion of Soroti will be crowned.
With every team boasting players capable of turning a game in a single over, the stage is perfectly set.
Tomorrow is more than just a contest it is a celebration of talent, resilience, and the continued rise of women’s cricket in Uganda.
The Soroti Women’s T20 has reached its crescendo, and now, the moment for heroes has arrived.
