Kampala – April 28, 2026. Cricket Uganda is pleased to announce a new partnership with Jibu Corporate Uganda Ltd, which will see the company provide hydration support to national cricket teams.

Signed on April 28, 2026, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) marks an important milestone in strengthening the relationship between sport, performance, and community development in Uganda.
Under the agreement, Jibu Uganda will supply bottled water for national team training sessions throughout the year, ensuring players remain well hydrated during preparations and competition.
In addition, Jibu will recognise and reward outstanding performance by awarding the top three players at the end of each domestic league season.
A powerful brand
In return, Cricket Uganda will provide branding and visibility opportunities across its competitions, events, and communication platforms, enhancing Jibu Uganda’s presence as a key supporter of sport in Uganda.
Speaking at the signing, Cricket Uganda CEO Evelyn K.B. Shinyekwa welcomed the partnership:
This partnership with Jibu is very valuable to us at Cricket Uganda. It will support the hydration of our national team players during training sessions and contribute to their performance and well-being.
Jibu Corporate Uganda Ltd, Head of Marketing and Communications, Brenda Kembabazi, highlighted the importance of hydration in sport:
Hydration and Sports work hand-in-hand. Show me a sports person who’s not hydrated, and I will show you someone who’s not doing well on the pitch. So what better way than to come into relationships with Sports Associations here in Uganda, as we did now with Cricket Uganda. We hope for a good relationship where we shall be able to hydrate all the players on their training days.
The partnership aligns with Cricket Uganda’s broader vision of grassroots development, inclusivity, and sustainable growth of the game.
With Jibu Uganda on board, players are expected to benefit from improved training support and motivation as they continue to represent the country with pride.
