Cricket Uganda is proud to participate in the NSSF Kampala Hills Run 2025, taking place this Sunday, November 2, at Kololo Independence Grounds.
Our team of players, coaches, and staff will lace up to run the scenic 10KM route through Kampala’s hills — not just for fitness, but to support a vital cause: improving public primary schools across Uganda.
“As Cricket Uganda we join NSSF in the initiative to contribute to the improvement of Public Primary Schools in Uganda and to see that all children access education in a condusive environment.”
— Evelyn Shinyekwa Kobongerwa, CEO, Cricket Uganda
This year’s run, themed “Run for Ondia”, raises funds to refurbish classrooms, upgrade sanitation facilities, and create better learning environments for young pupils — the very foundation of grassroots development.
“As Cricket Uganda we are proud to be part of the NSSF Kampala Hills Run to support primary schools nationwide. Schools are critical development partners for us, especially with our mini cricket program and mass participation. Therefore, a cause like this has an impact on our game. We want to be intentional by being involved in causes that support where our future national team players come from.”
— Denis Musali, Honorary Secretary, Cricket Uganda
Cricket Uganda’s Mini Cricket Programme already reaches hundreds of primary schools, introducing thousands of children to the joy and discipline of the game.
By joining the NSSF Run, we reinforce our commitment to the institutions that nurture talent from the earliest age — because today’s classroom is tomorrow’s cricket ground.
Proceeds from the 2025 Run will go towards supporting 10 public primary schools across the country to undertake school renovations, improve sanitation, and enhance e-learning.
