Cricket Uganda proudly participated in the NSSF Kampala Hills Run 2025, held on Sunday, November 2 at Kololo Independence Grounds.

The federation joined thousands of Ugandans in the 10km charity run, reaffirming its commitment to community development and education.

The annual run, organised by the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), raises funds to refurbish and improve facilities in public primary schools across Uganda.

This year’s edition attracted corporate teams and individuals united under the theme “Run for Education.”

Today Cricket Uganda joined thousands of runners to make sure that together we can improve classrooms in Uganda. Running for Ondia should become a cause for everyone, not just for a few. We all don’t have the same privilege, but we can support those in need by doing everyday things with a purpose. We look forward to being part of the run next year in a bigger way, and we are certain the impact of what we do in Kampala will be seen where it’s needed.

Denis Musali, Honorary Secretary of Cricket Uganda.

Cricket Uganda’s delegation included national players, coaches, and staff who took part in the 10km route through Kampala’s iconic hills.

Their participation highlighted the federation’s broader vision of using sport as a platform for nation-building, youth empowerment, and social impact.

The NSSF Kampala Hills Run continues to be one of Uganda’s largest charity runs, with proceeds directed toward classroom refurbishment, provision of desks, and creation of safer learning environments for children.
