Cricket Cranes all-rounder Alpesh Ramjani made his Nepal Premier League (NPL) debut for Chitwan Rhinos in the 27th match of the tournament against Pokhara Avengers on 6 December 2025, at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
Alpesh starred with a solid impact on his debut, contributing in both batting and bowling. He scored an unbeaten 33 runs off 22 balls before delivering a tidy spell of 4 overs for 21 runs.
Chitwan Rhinos, batting first, struggled early in their innings. They lost three of their top four batters within the opening overs, falling to 7 for 3, which put immediate pressure on the middle and lower order to rebuild the innings.
Alpesh came in to bat during the later stages of the innings. On debut, he played a composed and effective innings, scoring an unbeaten 33 runs off 22 balls, which included one boundary and two sixes.
His contribution helped the team reach a total of 120 for 6 in 20 overs, offering some stability in a challenging batting effort.
When Chitwan took the field to defend their total, Alpesh also contributed with the ball. He bowled a full quota of 4 overs, conceding 21 runs (4–0–21–0). His spell was tidy, maintaining a consistent line and length against the Avengers’ batters.
Despite Alpesh’s efforts, Pokhara Avengers chased down the target with 121 for 2 in 19.4 overs, winning the match by eight wickets.
While the team struggled overall, Alpesh’s personal performance — both batting and bowling — stood out as a positive.
Chitwan Rhinos closed out the NPL 2025 having played six matches, with 2 wins and 4 losses, earning 4 points and a net run rate of approximately –0.691, which placed them sixth in the league standings.
Alpesh’s debut provided an encouraging note, demonstrating his ability to contribute in multiple facets of the game at a franchise level, gaining valuable experience for higher-level competitions.
