Day Two of the Boundary Banters T20 at Florida Cricket Oval produced a dramatic split of results as Africa Cricket Club (ACC) and Centurion CC traded blows, each claiming a win in a tightly fought double-header.

In the morning encounter, Centurion edged ACC by 4 wickets in a low-scoring contest.

ACC struggled to build momentum after electing to bat, eventually posting 86/9 in their 20 overs. Robert Owili top-scored with a fighting 37 off 25 balls, but regular wickets stalled their progress. Centurion’s chase was far from straightforward, as ACC bowlers kept the pressure on throughout.

However, Godfrey Ejidra’s composed 25 and Andrew Nyumba’s quick 16 helped steady the innings, while Conrad Lubwama finished unbeaten on 20 to guide Centurion home at 87/6 in 16.1 overs.

Owili Robert was named Player of the Match for his all-round impact in a losing cause.

The afternoon fixture saw ACC bounce back strongly to level the day with an 8-run victory.

Batting first, ACC posted 120/6 in 20 overs, powered once again by Robert Owili, who struck a fluent half cnetury 51 off 43 balls. Contributions from Hemant Hiran (22) and Jignesh Vekariya (16) helped build a competitive total.

In response, Centurion CC fought hard with Allan Ssemakula’s 23 and Brian Mark Masaba’s 23, but fell short at 112/10 in 19.2 overs despite a late push.

Owili Robert was once again the standout performer, earning back-to-back Player of the Match awards as Day Two ended with honours even between the two sides.

The next fixture in the Boundary Banters League will see Centurion CC take on Mukono Development on 30th May, as the competition continues to build momentum.
