MOROGORO, TANZANIA – Ugandan representatives at the FEASSA Games 2026 cricket tournament – Sacred Heart Secondary School Gulu and Busoga College Mwiri – have secured third-place finishes after the final standings in the league tables.
Despite matching the top two teams on points in their respective divisions with three wins from four matches, both Ugandan sides were separated by Net Run Rate (NRR) at the end of the round-robin stage.
Matchday 4 Recaps: Strong Finishes for Team Uganda
Sacred Heart SS Gulu Edges Dodoma (TZ) by 6 Wickets
Sacred Heart elected to bowl first and restricted local hosts Dodoma to 103/4 in 20 overs.
Lightness Eliud anchored Dodoma’s innings with 33 off 41 balls, alongside Dorice Helment (16*).
Anek Patricia Ambrose led the Ugandan bowling effort with an economical 1/4 in 3 overs, supported by Ssesanga Mulungi (1/16).
In response, Sacred Heart chased down the target, reaching 107/4 in 19.2 overs.
Captain Amono Nyero top-scored with 36 off 45 balls, supported by Kyosaba Mackline (23 off 29 balls), Lakica Okema (15 off 14 balls), Anek Patricia Ambrose (14 off 13 balls), and Ninsiima Peace (5 off 3 balls).
Dodoma’s wickets were taken by Lightness Eliud (1/18), Husna Ally (1/23), Dorice Helment (1/22), and Zawadi Anas (1/14).
Busoga College Mwiri Rout St. Joseph’s Boys Kitale (KE) by 10 Wickets
St. Joseph’s won the toss, elected to bat, and were restricted to 55/6 in 15 overs.
Captain Gideon Godwill top-scored for the Kenyan side with 28 off 31 balls.
Mwiri’s bowling attack was led by Kiberu Hadad (2/5 in 3 overs), Kisira Joshua (2/14 in 3 overs), Okoth Joel (1/2 in 3 overs), and Tigatola Abubaker (1/6 in 3 overs).
Mwiri sprinted to the target without losing a wicket, finishing 56/0 in just 6.2 overs.
Opener Kisubi Martin smashed an unbeaten 32 off 25 balls (6 fours), while Tigatola Abubaker struck a rapid 16 off 14 balls (1 four, 1 six).
