Division One
Olila CC vs Tornado Bees – Florida Oval
Olila CC return in action carrying confidence after winning the second game against Soroti City in last weekend’s Soroti Derby, while Tornado Bees arrive searching for their first victory after suffering defeat to Jinja SSS on Day Two.
The last meeting between the two sides came in the 2025 Lyca Women’s T20 semifinal, where Olila delivered one of their most dominant performances to claim a 59-run victory and book their place in the final.
Batting first after winning the toss, Olila posted 119 for 4 from their 20 overs.
Esther Iloku led the way with a composed 40 off 45 balls, while Phiona Egaru Kulume contributed 30 from 29 deliveries.
Ann Nyapendi kept Tornado Bees in the contest with impressive figures of 3 for 12.
Olila’s bowlers, however, took complete control of the chase.
Devine Gabriella Nyamer starred with a superb spell of 4 for 9, while Lorna Anyait picked up two wickets as Tornado Bees were dismissed for just 60 in 18.3 overs.
Olila will once again look to build around the outstanding form of Malisa Ariokot, who leads the Division One run-scoring charts with 212 runs and comes into the match fresh from a brilliant half-century.
The defending champions will be confident of extending their winning run, while Tornado Bees will be eager to erase memories of last year’s semifinal defeat and finally get their campaign underway with a positive result.
Division Two
JACC vs Africa CC – Jinja Oval
Division Two gets underway with JACC hosting Africa Cricket Club in what is a repeat of one of last season’s fixtures.
Africa CC will be hoping for a different outcome after struggling against JACC in their previous meetings. In the completed morning fixture last season, JACC posted 69 for 3 in 12 overs, with Lamara Prudence scoring 26 and Immaculate Nakisuuyi adding 18.
Africa CC never recovered in the chase as Nakisuuyi returned to claim 2 for 4, supported by Kamatenesi Patricia and Mirembe Lydia, who both picked up two wickets. Africa CC were restricted to just 20 for 6, handing JACC a convincing 49-run victory.
The afternoon encounter was evenly poised before rain intervened. JACC had reached 47 for 2 in 9.2 overs, with Nakisuuyi unbeaten on 19, before persistent showers forced the match to be abandoned.
JACC begin life in Division Two without all-rounder Ruth Mwanga, who has since joined Nile Cricket Club.
Despite her departure, they still boast proven performers in Immaculate Nakisuuyi and Kevin Awino, who will be expected to lead both the batting and bowling departments.

Africa CC, meanwhile, will be determined to turn the page on last season’s disappointing results and make a strong start to their Division Two campaign and Sarah Walaza is expected to be available for them this season.
With both teams eager to establish early momentum, Saturday’s clash in Jinja promises to be a closely contested encounter.
Conclusion
With crucial early-season points on offer across both divisions, Saturday’s fixtures promise another exciting chapter in the CU Women’s T20 National League. Defending champions Olila will look to strengthen their grip on Division One, Tornado Bees will be chasing a breakthrough victory, while JACC and Africa CC begin their Division Two campaigns with ambitions of setting the early pace.
As the competition gathers momentum, every result could prove significant in the race for playoff places.
