14 June 2026 – Matchday Preview (Gold & Silver Categories)
The Cricket Uganda Men’s 50 Over League enters Matchday 16 with the title race, survival battle, and final standings all reaching a decisive stage across both the Gold and Silver Categories.
Kutchi Tigers CC are under extreme pressure to keep their title defence alive as they take on Mukono Warriors CC in Entebbe, while Tornado Bees CC stand on the brink of being crowned champions when they meet JACC in Jinja.
In the Silver Category, Avengers CC face SKLPS CC in a fixture that carries little impact on standings but offers pride and momentum heading into the final stretch.
GOLD CATEGORY
Kutchi Tigers CC vs Mukono Warriors CC – Entebbe Oval
Defending champions Kutchi Tigers CC return to action knowing there is no margin for error as they face Mukono Warriors CC in their first-ever meeting.
The Tigers come into this fixture off a defeat in their last outing in Jinja and must win both of their remaining matches to stand any chance of retaining the title. Even then, their fate depends on Tornado Bees dropping points and other results going in their favour, making their situation extremely tight.
Mukono Warriors are effectively out of the title race following a washed-out fixture in their previous game, leaving them with no realistic pathway even if they win their remaining matches.
Kutchi Tigers will be fighting to keep their slim title hopes alive, while Mukono Warriors will be aiming to finish the season strongly.
JACC vs Tornado Bees CC – Jinja SSS Oval
A crucial Gold Category clash takes centre stage at Jinja SSS Oval as JACC face league Tornado Bees CC in what could be a title-deciding fixture.
Tornado Bees arrive in dominant form, sitting second on the table with 10 points from six matches, having won five and lost just once.
A victory here would take them to 12 points and officially secure the championship, as no team would be able to catch them.
A defeat, however, keeps the title race alive and opens the door for Kutchi Tigers CC, who would then need to win both of their remaining matches and rely on results elsewhere.

JACC are fighting for survival, currently placed in the relegation zone, and must win to confirm their safety in the top tier.
The rivalry has been closely contested in recent seasons. Last year, JACC won the first leg by 9 runs, while Tornado Bees responded strongly with a 79-run victory in the return fixture.
SILVER CATEGORY
Avengers CC vs SKLPS CC – Serenity Oval
Avengers CC, already confirmed as promoted back to Division One, face SKLPS CC in what is effectively a dead rubber at Serenity Oval.
While Avengers will be looking to finish strongly and maintain momentum, SKLPS CC also have little at stake in terms of standings. The fixture is largely about pride, consistency, and ending the season on a positive note.
Both sides will still want to deliver a strong performance despite the reduced stakes.
FINAL WORD
Matchday 16 brings a defining moment in the Gold Category as Tornado Bees CC stand just one win away from being crowned champions, while Kutchi Tigers CC fight to keep their fading title hopes alive.
In the Silver Category, attention shifts more toward pride and final momentum as the season nears its conclusion.
Another key weekend of Cricket Uganda Men’s 50 Over League action awaits.
