Emerging XI delivered a ruthless all-round performance to register a commanding 244-run victory over Rwanda U19 in the High Performance Cup 2026 at the Entebbe Cricket Ground.
A brilliant batting display led by Player of the Match Robert Ajuna, followed by a clinical bowling effort, saw Emerging XI completely dominate the contest and secure an emphatic win.

Uganda Emerging XI won the toss and elected to bat first, making a positive start despite losing Perry Wazombe early for a duck.
Cyrus Kakuru provided early momentum with an aggressive 31 off 24 deliveries, while Amos Ahura added 24. The innings was then anchored superbly by Robert Ajuna, who produced a magnificent 94 off 99 balls, striking 15 boundaries in a composed and authoritative knock.
Captain Nuwagaba Edwin contributed 18, while Fortunate Alijuna accelerated late in the innings with an unbeaten 45 off just 33 balls. Johnathan Nyiiro also chipped in with 19 as Emerging XI posted a formidable total of 301 in 46.3 overs.
For Rwanda U19, Patrick Iradukunda was the standout bowler with 4 wickets for 44 runs, while Elise Gihozo picked up 3 wickets. Jules Mugisha and Mugisha Izere Bruce claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Rwanda U19 struggled against a disciplined and relentless Emerging XI bowling attack that consistently applied pressure from both ends.
