Africa Cricket Club (ACC) have promised to give Centurions Cricket Club a tough challenge when the two sides face off in the Cricket Uganda Boundary Banters League at Florida Cricket Oval on Saturday, 16th May 2026.
The highly anticipated fixture was initially scheduled for last weekend but was postponed after ACC requested for more time to prepare.
The game now takes centre stage on matchday two of the competition, with both teams eager to make a statement.
It will be the first-ever meeting between the two sides in the Banters League, adding extra excitement to the encounter.
Centurions head into the clash looking to recover from a difficult opening day in which they suffered back-to-back defeats against Rounders Cricket Club, losing by 25 runs in the morning before falling again by 28 runs in the afternoon.
Despite the disappointing results, Centurions will draw confidence from the performances of Brian Masaba, who stood out as one of their brightest players on day one.
Masaba scored 60 runs across two innings, including a half-century, while also claiming four wickets with the ball.
ACC, meanwhile, have been busy strengthening their squad ahead of their first appearance in the league. The club has kept details of the new additions under wraps, refusing to reveal the names of the players brought in for the encounter.
With the ACC side largely built around schoolboys, management has reportedly added a few experienced campaigners to provide balance and competitiveness as they aim to test Centurions throughout Saturday’s contest.
The fixture is expected to produce an entertaining battle as both teams chase their first victory of the season.
