The Cricket Uganda Men’s 50-Over League returns with Matchday 10 action, promising another thrilling round of fixtures as teams continue to jostle for position across the Gold and Silver divisions.
With revenge narratives, table battles, and redemption missions in play, this weekend’s encounters are set to deliver high-stakes cricket.
GM Sugar vs Mukono Warriors – GM Sugar Oval (Gold Category)
At their home turf, GM Sugar host Mukono Warriors in a mouthwatering Gold category fixture.
Both sides are featuring in the topflight for the first time, and their rivalry has quickly gained attention as both teams are located in the Mukono region.
In last season’s Division Two final, GM Sugar defeated Mukono Warriors by 86 runs.
However, Mukono Warriors responded in their most recent meeting, winning by 20 runs in the Mukono Regional T20.

Heading into this clash, Mukono Warriors come off a dominant 78-run victory over Aboojo on 29th March, while GM Sugar secured a 4-wicket win against Tornado Bees on 19th April.
Only one side will carry forward winning momentum.
GM Sugar sit second on the Gold table with two wins from three matches, while Mukono Warriors are fifth, having registered one win and one loss so far.
With all players available for selection, this encounter promises to be a fiercely contested battle.
Rounders vs Tornado Bees – Entebbe Cricket Oval (Gold Category)
Another exciting Gold fixture sees Rounders take on Tornado Bees at Entebbe.
Last season, Rounders had the upper hand, winning both meetings, first by a commanding 103 runs and later edging a tighter contest by 19 runs.
This season, Tornado Bees occupy third place with two wins and one loss, while Rounders sit fourth, having won their only game so far.
With both squads fully available, this fixture sets up as a crucial contest in the mid-table race.
SKLPS vs Wanderers – Serenity Oval, Kamengo (Silver Category)
In the Silver category, SKLPS face Wanderers in a fixture with significant implications at both ends of the table.
SKLPS head into the match on the back of a 6-wicket victory over Nile Cricket Club, while Wanderers suffered a 93-run defeat to Ismaili Community in their previous outing.
Despite their recent win, SKLPS remain in the relegation zone with just two points from three matches.
Wanderers, on the other hand, are third on the table with five points from five games, including two wins and one no result.
The two sides did not meet in last season’s 50-over competition due to being in different divisions.
However, in the UG T20, Wanderers dominated, defeating SKLPS twice by 37 and 25 runs respectively.
SKLPS, however, will draw confidence from the addition of experienced players, including former Cricket Cranes player Nandikishor Patel, who debuted in their last match, and Navin Pindoria, who has been part of the squad since the start of the season.
Final Word
As the league progresses into Matchday 10, the intensity continues to rise.
Rivalries are taking shape, positions on the table are becoming more defined, and every result carries increasing significance.
With revenge, redemption, and crucial points all on the line, this weekend’s fixtures promise yet another captivating chapter in the Cricket Uganda Men’s 50-Over League.
