




Matchday Four of the Cricket Uganda Men’s 50-Over League produced another round of compelling contests across the Gold, Silver and Bronze divisions.
Kutchi Tigers secured a comfortable victory over GM Sugar to strengthen their title defence, Ismaili Community continued their perfect run in the Silver division, while Centurion CC maintained their dominance in Bronze with a hard-fought win over Tornado CC.
Chennai also recorded an important victory on their debuit over Africa CC at Florida Cricket Oval.

GM Sugar vs Kutchi Tigers CC – Lugogo Cricket Oval

Defending champions Kutchi Tigers CC delivered a disciplined bowling performance before completing a comfortable chase to defeat GM Sugar by seven wickets at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The victory earned Kutchi Tigers two valuable points, moving them level on four points with Tornado Bees from two matches, though the Tigers sit higher on the table courtesy of a superior net run rate.
After being sent in to bat, GM Sugar were bowled out for 117 in 29.1 overs. Kevinkumar Patel top-scored with 33 off 42 balls, striking two fours and two sixes, while Siraje Nsubuga contributed 24 from 33 deliveries.
Vinitkumar Chhaganbhai Patel added 14, but the rest of the batting lineup struggled to build meaningful partnerships.
Vekariya Kush Mahesh led the Kutchi Tigers bowling attack with an outstanding spell of 4/23 in seven overs.
Ghanshyam Ashani provided strong support with 2/28, while Dhansuk Jesani, Paresh Patel, Mitul Pindoriya and Mayur Hirani each claimed a wicket to bowl GM Sugar out for a modest total.
In reply, Kutchi Tigers approached the chase with composure despite losing a few early wickets.
Avnish Vekariya scored 15 off 10 balls while Nitin Jeshani added 10 before Hasin Ashani contributed 21 from 37 deliveries.
Mayur Hirani anchored the innings with a patient unbeaten 26, while Steven Wabwose guided the team home with a steady 36 not out, striking five boundaries as the pair ensured Kutchi Tigers reached the target in 27.4 overs.
GM Sugar managed three wickets through Karan Prakashbhai Patel, Vinitkumar Chhaganbhai Patel and Fenilkumar Girishbhai Patel, but the total proved too small to defend.

Ismaili Community CC produced a dominant all-round performance to defeat Kutchi Tigers B by nine wickets via the Duckworth–Lewis method at Entebbe Cricket Ground.
The victory keeps Ismaili firmly at the top of the Silver Division standings with six points from three matches, maintaining their unbeaten start to the campaign.
After winning the toss and electing to bowl, Ismaili’s bowlers delivered a disciplined performance to dismiss Kutchi Tigers B for 128 in 33.2 overs.
Hitesh Bhudiya top-scored with a well-played 54 off 54 balls, striking four boundaries and a six. Jignesh Kerai added a useful unbeaten 16 while Jignesh Pindoriya contributed 11, but the rest of the batting lineup struggled to form solid partnerships.
Kamran Wali Khan led the bowling effort with an impressive spell of 4/22 in seven overs. Junaid Khan supported well with 2/12, while Ghulam Hunzai picked up 2/32. Nazim Punjwani and Oloka Pius also chipped in with a wicket each.
In reply, Ismaili Community CC launched an aggressive chase despite the revised target of 127.
Kamran Wali Khan set the tone early with a quick 30 off 21 balls, hitting five fours and a six before being dismissed.
Shehzad Khan then anchored the innings with an outstanding unbeaten 69 off 49 balls, striking 12 boundaries, while Ayaan Jasani added 19 not out as the pair guided Ismaili to 127/1 in just 16.5 overs to seal a comfortable victory.
Kutchi Tigers B managed their only wicket through Chintan Kerai, but the target proved too small to defend.

Centurion CC produced a disciplined bowling effort followed by a steady chase to defeat Tornado CC by four wickets at Serenity Oval, Kamengo.
The victory keeps Centurion at the top of Bronze Group A with six points, maintaining their perfect run in the competition.
After electing to bowl, Centurion restricted Tornado CC to 146 all out in 44.3 overs. Bosco Akena top-scored with 33 off 48 balls, hitting two fours and a six, while Sulaiman Mwebaze anchored the lower order with an unbeaten 39 from 89 deliveries.
Lawrence Ssempijja added 21 and Oburu Patrick chipped in with 14 as Tornado attempted to build a competitive total.
Jackson Asiku led the Centurion bowling attack with an impressive 3/30 in eight overs.
Ali Balidawa and Allan Ssemakula each claimed two wickets, while Tembo Arnold also picked up two. Brian Mark Masaba added one wicket to complete the disciplined effort.
In reply, Centurion chased down the target with measured composure despite losing wickets at intervals. Conrad Lubwama top-scored with 38 off 72 balls, while Ali Balidawa added a crucial 33 from 51 deliveries, striking four boundaries.
Fred Achelam contributed 17 and Brian Mark Masaba scored 12 as the chase gathered momentum.
Captain Allan Ssemakula remained unbeaten on 16 alongside Rashid Mukasa (5*) to guide Centurion to 148/6 in 35.1 overs and secure the victory.
Tornado bowlers shared the wickets with Jaffer Ochaya, Sulaiman Mwebaze, Lawrence Ssempijja, Tendo Ryan, Moses Kitara and Patrick Oburu each claiming a wicket.

After winning the toss, Kifaru CC posted a massive 352/8 in 48 overs.
Patel Devansh starred with a brilliant 153 off 142 balls, hitting 15 fours and 3 sixes, anchoring the innings and accelerating late.
Harsh Panchal contributed a quick 66 off 54 balls with 4 fours and 6 sixes, while Darshan Patel added 45 off 25 balls at a strike rate of 180. The team also benefitted from 26 extras as Centurion A struggled to maintain control.
For Centurion A, Waheed Abdul and Micheal Lwamafa picked up 2 wickets each, while Paul Otema, Christopher Kisakye, and David Kuteesa claimed one apiece.
In reply, Centurion A could not build momentum and were bowled out for 92 in 22.3 overs.
Jonathan Kiyingi top-scored with 33 off 26 balls, while Phillip Thawi added 20 runs. Kifaru CC’s bowlers shared the wickets, with Darshan Patel, Yug Haria, Thummaluru Veera Sagar Reddy, and Patel Devansh all taking multiple scalps.

After being sent in to bat, Chennai posted a competitive 164/7 in their allotted 25 overs. Mohammed A K L Hakkem delivered a brilliant unbeaten 89 off 55 balls, striking seven fours and five sixes to anchor the innings and accelerate the scoring late on.
Amogh Kothari contributed 29 while the rest of the batting lineup added smaller contributions.
Chennai also benefited from 29 extras as Africa CC struggled with control at times.
For Africa CC, Adup Tom and Derrick Okecho picked up two wickets each, while Vemuluri Sricharan and Rakib Mbaine claimed one apiece.
In response, Africa CC struggled to build momentum in their chase and were bowled out for 106 in 21 overs.
Derrick Okecho top-scored with 29 off 32 balls, hitting four boundaries, while Twaha Baiga and Julius Bwoji added 11 runs each.
Chennai’s bowlers shared the wickets with Kamlesh Meghlani producing a decisive spell of 3/0 in one over.
Sivaganesh Perumal, Ratheesh S Pillai and Barath Balakrishan each claimed two wickets, while Santosh Kumar added one to wrap up the innings.
