The SCA Ladies Elite T25 League bowled off last weekend in Soroti, marking one of the key activities on the Soroti Cricket Academy calendar aimed at giving female players valuable match time and competitive exposure.

Across Saturday and Sunday, six matches were played as teams battled for early momentum in the tournament, producing impressive individual performances and closely fought contests.

The tournamed has six teams; Kichinjaji CC, Senior Quarters CC, Nakatunya CC, Pamba CC, Amen CC, Campswahili CC

Saturday 14th March 2026

Kichinjaji vs Senior Quarters CC – Soroti Cricket Academy

Result: Kichinjaji won by 67 runs

Kichinjaji delivered a commanding performance to defeat Senior Quarters CC by 67 runs.

Batting first after being sent in, Kichinjaji posted a strong total of 145/8 in 17.5 overs, thanks largely to a superb innings from Mercy Tracy Kongai.

She struck an impressive 76 off 53 balls, hitting nine boundaries and a six to anchor the innings.

She received support from Varon Atheino, who added 21 runs, while Ruth Akello chipped in with 13 to push the score to a competitive total.

Senior Quarters’ bowlers shared the wickets, with Daphine Tino picking up two, while Lydia Acero and Hope Agita each claimed one.

In response, Senior Quarters CC struggled to form meaningful partnerships and were bowled out for 78 in 17 overs.

Lydia Acero top-scored with 15 runs, while Margret Ameja (7), Jojinah Ajiko (6), and Hope Agita (6) offered brief resistance.

Kichinjaji’s bowlers remained disciplined throughout, with Elizabeth Tino leading the attack with two wickets.

Joan Nabasekka, Hellen Rose Amucu, and Ruth Ilongu each claimed a wicket, while sharp fielding also produced several run-outs to seal the victory.

Nakatunya CC vs Pamba C.C – Soroti Cricket Academy

Nakatunya CC held their nerve to secure a narrow 10-run victory over Pamba C.C in a competitive encounter.

Batting first, Nakatunya posted 115/3 in their allotted 25 overs.

Racheal Achan anchored the innings with an unbeaten 50 off 58 balls, striking seven boundaries and a six.

She was supported by Joyce Arugo who added 20 runs, while Keren Agudo remained unbeaten on 10 towards the end of the innings.

For Pamba, Josephine Alayo, Slyvia Awicho, and Hildah Ariko each claimed a wicket.

Chasing 116, Pamba fought hard but were bowled out for 105 in 19.4 overs despite a determined 41 from Ruth Kulume.

Keren Agudo produced a brilliant spell with the ball, taking 5 wickets for 19 runs to dismantle the Pamba batting line-up. She was supported by Joanila Abuga, Sylivia Apollo, Sarah Nabukwasi, and Ritah Lucy Akareut, who each picked up a wicket.

Batting first, Senior Quarters struggled to build momentum and were restricted to 72/7 in their 20 overs.

Margret Ameja top-scored with 16 runs, while Jojinah Ajiko added 4 and Hope Agita contributed 2.

Pamba’s bowlers maintained tight lines throughout the innings, with Josephine Alayo leading the disciplined attack that kept the scoring under control.

Chasing 73, Pamba cruised to victory in just 9.3 overs without losing a wicket.

Lucky Agwang guided the chase with an unbeaten 28, while Ruth Kulume contributed a steady 30 not out as the pair comfortably sealed the win.

Amen vs Nakatunya CC – Soroti Cricket Academy

Amen secured a hard-fought seven-run victory over Nakatunya CC in a closely contested match.

Batting first, Amen posted 107/7 in their 15 overs, thanks to an outstanding knock from Divine Nyamer.

She scored a brilliant 53 off 41 balls, striking five boundaries and three sixes to anchor the innings.

Immaculate Nandera contributed 11 runs while the rest of the batting line-up added useful runs to help set a competitive target.

For Nakatunya, Sylivia Apollo and Hindu Suleiman picked up two wickets each, while Everline Adongo claimed one.

In reply, Nakatunya fought hard but finished just short on 100/6 in their 15 overs.

Joyce Arugo top-scored with 35 runs, while Sarah Nabukwasi added a quick 11.

Amen’s bowlers held their nerve in the closing stages, with Gloria Ibukut, Rebecca Adelo, Hellen Awayo, Martha Kulume, and Martha Nakavuma each taking a wicket.

Campswahili CC vs Kichinjaji – Soroti Cricket Academy

Kichinjaji produced another strong all-round performance to defeat Campswahili CC by seven wickets.

After being sent in to bat, Campswahili struggled to build partnerships and were bowled out for 57 in 11.2 overs.

Sarah Tino was the standout performer with 23 off 22 balls, striking five boundaries.

Kichinjaji’s bowlers dominated the innings, with Joan Nabasekka, Elizabeth Tino, Ruth Ilongu, and Mary Mukade each claiming two wickets.

In reply, Kichinjaji chased down the target comfortably, reaching 61/3 in 10 overs.

Martha Amayo anchored the chase with an unbeaten 30, while Mercy Tracy Kongai added 14 to guide the team home.

Despite wickets from Vivian Alibo and Shakira Nyiratama, Campswahili could not stop Kichinjaji from sealing the win.
