Matchday Three of the Cricket Uganda Men’s 50-Over League delivered commanding performances across the Gold, Silver, and Bronze divisions, with Wanderers CC securing a dominant victory over Nile CC in Silver while Tornado Bees continued their perfect start in the Gold category.

Tornado Bees CC produced a composed chase to defeat Mukono Warriors CC by six wickets in an entertaining encounter at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

The victory earned Tornado Bees valuable points and sent them to the top of the table with four points from two games, while Mukono Warriors were welcomed to the top flight with a loss.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Mukono Warriors posted 161 all out in 19.5 overs in what turned out to be a competitive total.

Het Pindoria anchored the innings with a well-played 52 off 36 balls, striking five boundaries and three sixes.

Kalpesh Jeshani provided explosive support with a blistering 64 off just 24 deliveries, smashing eight sixes and two fours to lift the scoring rate.

However, the rest of the Mukono lineup struggled to build partnerships as wickets fell at regular intervals.

Suleman Sharif led the Tornado Bees bowling attack with 3/24 in four overs, while Aziz Tandia also claimed three wickets for just nine runs.

John Mpande chipped in with two wickets to help restrict Mukono to 161.

In response, Tornado Bees paced their chase well despite early wickets.

Roger Galiwango Mukasa delivered a match-winning performance, smashing an unbeaten 103 off 69 balls, including 11 fours and five sixes to guide his side home.

Nicholas Kebba contributed 14, while David Musoke added 9 before Mukasa and Jonathan Ssebanja (8*) saw the team over the line.

Mukono Warriors bowlers tried to apply pressure with Harish Vaghjiyani, Fahad Mutagana, Robert Ajuna, and Musa Majid Ramathan each picking up a wicket, but Mukasa’s dominant knock ensured Tornado Bees chased down the target with a ball to spare.

Rounders CC delivered a confident run chase to defeat Aboojo CC by six wickets at Entebbe Cricket Ground.

After being sent in to bat, Aboojo CC recovered from a shaky start to post 192 all out in 36.3 overs.

Fortunate Alijuna led the fightback with an impressive 85 off 71 balls, striking nine boundaries and a six, while skipper Brian Asaba contributed 53 off 79 balls to stabilize the innings. Innocent Mwebaze added 19, while Richard Busobozi remained unbeaten on 14.

For Rounders, Narinder Singh was the pick of the bowlers with 4/55 in nine overs, while Aman Preet Singh claimed 3/13. Eddie Agaba and Sohera Richard chipped in with a wicket each.

Chasing 193, Rounders paced the innings well despite early breakthroughs from Brian Asaba, who picked up three wickets.

Aman Preet Singh scored 36 off 48 balls, while Eddie Agaba added a quick 35 from 28 deliveries.

Mulongo Paul anchored the chase with a composed unbeaten 49 off 34 balls, supported by Sohera Richard who remained not out on 31, ensuring Rounders reached the target comfortably.

Ronald Omara contributed 22, while Colline John Abong and Johnson Okabo added useful runs.

Kutchi Tigers’ bowlers shared the wickets, with Mitul Pindoriya and Dhansuk Jesani picking up two wickets each, while Ghanshyam Ashani and Kush Vekariya also claimed two.

Chasing 149, Kutchi Tigers lost a few early wickets but kept the chase under control.

Nitin Jeshani scored 32, Mitul Pindoriya added 24, while Dhansuk Jesani remained unbeaten on 25.

Ghanshyam Ashani supported with a steady 29 not out as the Tigers completed the chase.

After being sent in to bat, Kutchi Tigers B posted an imposing 288. Sharad Vekariya anchored the innings with 57 off 108 balls, while Jignesh Pindoriya struck a quick 56 off 35 deliveries.

Milan Halai added 35 and Rikesh Rabadiya contributed 33 to strengthen the total.

St. John’s bowlers were led by Brian Kimaleni with 3/51, while Ronald Mulumba claimed two wickets.

Chasing 289, St. John’s struggled against disciplined bowling and were bowled out for just 49. Mathias Ssentongo top-scored with 19.

Hitesh Prajapti and Edgar Mudoola set the tone early with identical scores of 41, both scoring fluently at the top of the order.

Muhumuza Daniel accelerated the innings with a quick 47 off 36 balls, while captain Ivan Kakande added a steady 38.

Ian Bamutaraki contributed 31 as Wanderers recovered from 112/5 to push their total close to 280.

For Nile CC, Lennon Kangume was the pick of the bowlers with 4/58, while Jimson Wankona, Yves Cyusa, and Chris Yussuf Namuhoranye each picked up two wickets.

Chasing 218, Mukono Development struggled to build partnerships and were bowled out for 115 despite Nuwagaba Edwin’s 53.

Tornado’s bowlers shared the wickets, with Tendo Ryan taking 3/20, while Jaffer Ochaya and Ahabwe Ethan picked up two wickets each.

Centurion chased down the modest target quickly, reaching 65/2 in 8.5 overs. Jimmy Atuhairwe scored a brisk 27 off 13 balls, while Brian Mark Masaba added 17 to seal the win.
