After choosing to bowl first following overcast conditions, Kenya applied early pressure with a disciplined bowling display that restricted Sierra Leone to 63 for 6 in their 19 overs.
The Sierra Leone batters found it difficult to accelerate as wickets fell at regular intervals.
Isatu Sesay led the resistance with a patient 23 from 48 balls, while Mariama Jalloh contributed 10 and Susan Sesay added 6 runs.

Mozambique registered a comprehensive 70-run victory over Cameroon after producing the highest team total of the tournament followed by a disciplined bowling effort.
Batting first, Mozambique compiled an impressive 148 for 8 in their 20 overs. Regina Osvaldo Mazumba led the innings with a superb 48 from 38 balls, striking five boundaries to anchor the total.
She received support from Carolina Litos Muchanga, who scored 18 runs, while Ilza Artur Machava contributed an unbeaten 13 towards the end of the innings.
For Cameroon, captain Ateh Chris Kelly Fulai stood out with the ball, returning figures of 3 for 25. Akele Amougui Balbine Doris and Nanfack Kana Lyvana Dorcasse claimed two wickets each.
Chasing a challenging target, Cameroon was unable to keep up with the required run rate and were eventually bowled out for 78 in 16.5 overs. Sakinatou Moussa top-scored with 11 runs, while Ateh Chris Kelly Fulai added 9.
Mozambique’s bowlers controlled the innings well, with Leonor Virgelino Mandlate delivering the standout performance with figures of 3 for 11 in three overs.
Amelia Lucas Mundudo (2/10) and Regina Osvaldo Mazumba (2/12) also contributed to seal a convincing win.
