Wanderers CC vs Soroti City – Kamengo Oval
Result: Match abandoned without a ball bowled (Rain)

Wanderers’ much-anticipated return following last season’s relegation was cut short after their fixture against Soroti City at the Kamengo Oval was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to persistent rain.

Heavy downpours left the ground unplayable, forcing officials to call off the match before the start. As per league regulations, both Wanderers CC and Soroti City were awarded one point each.

For Wanderers, who were relegated last season and are aiming to rebuild and mount a strong campaign, the washout denies them an early opportunity to make a statement on the field. Soroti City likewise will feel frustrated at missing out on competitive action in debut meeting between the two sides.

Both sides will now shift focus to their next fixtures, hoping for clearer skies and a chance to secure full points.
