Ugandan international Juma Miyaji officially began his high-performance stint in the Namibian 50-over Premier League.

Turning out for ATG WHS Old Boys Cricket Club 1, the sensation showcased both his endurance and his ability to stifle opposition batters across a high-intensity double-header weekend.

In his first outing of the weekend against CCD 1, Miyaji was the workhorse of the ATG WHSOBCC 1 bowling unit.

Tasked with leading the charge, he showed remarkable stamina, bowling nearly his entire allotment to break crucial partnerships.

Miyaji claimed 3 wickets for 50 runs in 9.5 overs and contributed a quick 8 runs off 9 balls (Strike Rate: 88.89) before being caught by Donovan Zealand off the bowling of Nicol Loftie-Eaton.

His three breakthroughs were instrumental in dismantling the CCD 1 lineup and securing a 77-run victory for his side.

Miyaji followed up his Saturday performance with an even more disciplined display on Sunday against Trustco United 1.

While he didn’t get a chance to show his skills with the bat, his contribution with the ball was a masterclass in economy and pressure.

He delivered a full 10.0-over shift, conceding a staggering low of only 18 runs. He picked up 1 wicket, finishing with an incredible economy rate of 1.80.

In a league where high scores are common, Miyaji’s ability to bowl 60 balls while giving away less than two runs per over proved his elite level of control.

Finishing his first 48 hours of league cricket with 4 wickets and an elite economy rate on Sunday, he has immediately established himself as a premier overseas professional.
