The morning clash against Africa CC was a tense, low-scoring affair where every run mattered.
After Africa CC won the toss and chose to bowl, Mukono Development found themselves in early trouble on a tricky surface.
Wickets fell in quick succession, leaving them reeling at 26/3 inside four overs.
Partnerships proved difficult to build as Africa’s bowlers maintained relentless pressure.
Martin Bwogi steadied the innings with a composed 16 off 15 balls, while Julius Bwogi injected brief momentum with a brisk 18 off 11 deliveries, striking a boundary and a six.
However, Francis Ejok and Arafat Lule tore through the middle and lower order, claiming four wickets each.
Ejok finished with remarkable figures of 4 for 9 in 2.2 overs, and Lule returned 4 for 14 in three.
Despite the collapse, 10 crucial extras pushed Mukono Development to 68 all out in 11.2 overs.
Defending just 69, Mukono’s bowlers rose to the occasion spectacularly.
Africa CC stumbled to 4/2 in the opening over and never recovered.
Ethan Mitali led the charge with a superb 3 for 7 in three overs, while Martin Bwogi and Mahad Ssekito chipped in with two wickets apiece.
Africa CC were bowled out for 41 in 11.4 overs, handing Mukono a hard-fought 27-run victory.
If the morning required grit, the afternoon demanded dominance and Mukono delivered.
Sent in again by Nkokonjeru CC, they posted a commanding 154/3 in 20 overs.
Martin Bwogi was at his explosive best, hammering 44 off 28 balls with four boundaries and two sixes.
Julius Bwogi added an unbeaten 41 off 30, while Nathan Sserunjogi contributed 18 as the pair guided the total beyond 150.
Extras again played a role, with 29 runs gifted by a wayward bowling attack.
In reply, Nkokonjeru CC crumbled under disciplined bowling. Arthur Muwaga’s devastating 3 for 9 and two wickets each from Martin and Sserunjogi dismantled the chase for just 36 in 12.4 overs, sealing a crushing 118-run win.
Two matches, two victories, and two Player of the Match awards capped a memorable day for Martin Bwogi as Mukono Development marched confidently up the regional standings.
