Sunday, 16 November 2025 – Entebbe Cricket Oval
Aboojo pace-bowler Innocent Mwebaze is relishing the challenge of facing nemesis GM Sugar in the semi-finals of the 2025 UG20.
Aboojo and GM Sugar face off in their first-ever semi-final appearance in Entebbe, with the winner to progress to the final, to face the winner from the second semi-final between Ismaili and Avengers.

Speaking ahead of the match, Aboojo’s Mwebaze shared his team’s mindset with clarity and conviction:
Both GM Sugar and Aboojo will be playing the semi-finals for their first time. I believe we have an advantage because GM Sugar just got promoted from Division 2 and knowing that they have never played from Entebbe Cricket Oval.
We hope we know the conditions better than them. As Aboojo we are focusing on our strengths. We are a decent side, we kinda have the same strategy and we go hard at the ball. We expect a couple of shockers though.
We have to focus on what we can do best. We take ourselves not just as teammates but we are brothers.
Aboojo’s recent win over Wanderers by 6 wickets showcased their tactical discipline and unity, earning them a well-deserved spot in the top four.
GM Sugar CC, fresh off an unbeaten Division 2 campaign, has impressed with their pace bowling and collective grit.
This semi-final is more than a match – it’s a statement of progress for two ambitious clubs. For Aboojo, it’s a chance to convert brotherhood into legacy.
