MATCH 1: Light SS vs St James SS – @Gulu High School Ground

Defending champions Light SS started their title defence in ruthless fashion with a dominant 10-wicket win over St James SS. Having been sent in to bat, St James SS collapsed for a paltry 17 runs in 15 overs — 14 of those coming from extras — after a disciplined bowling performance by Light.
The Light SS bowling unit was unrelenting. Sarah Tino led the attack with 3 wickets at an economy of 0.5, supported by Michelle Ariago and Sophia Bogere who picked two wickets apiece. Their attack featured 10 maiden overs, underlining their dominance. In reply, Light SS took just 2.1 overs to chase down the target without losing a wicket — an emphatic start for the reigning champions.
MATCH 2: Gayaza High School vs Mt. St Henry’s Mukono – @Layibi College Ground

Debutants Mt. St Henry’s Mukono stunned Gayaza High School with a composed performance that yielded a 17-run victory. Batting first, they posted a respectable 97/4 in 20 overs, with opener Shatra Agenrwot anchoring the innings with a patient 42 off 53 balls.
Gayaza’s chase faltered under pressure and poor communication, with four of their seven wickets being run-outs — a factor that turned the tide in Mt. St Henry’s favour. The newcomers walked away with their first-ever victory on the national stage.
MATCH 3: Masindi SS vs Olila High School – @Layibi College Ground 2

Olila High School began their campaign with intent, thrashing Masindi SS by 90 runs. After being asked to bat first, Olila posted 156 in 19.5 overs with notable knocks from Malisa Ariokot (45) and Asumin Akurut (33). Despite a four-wicket haul from Gloria Abicier, Masindi failed to contain the flow of runs.
In response, Masindi’s batting collapsed to 66 all out in 17.1 overs, with their captain – Abicier – the only player to cross double digits. Olila’s Immaculate Nandera stole the show with a five-wicket haul.
MATCH 4: Gulu High School vs Sacred Heart SS – @Gulu Primary School

In the biggest scoring match of the day, Sacred Heart SS dominated their Northern Region Hub rivals Gulu High with a 104-run win. Sacred Heart put up 166/6 in 20 overs, with four players— Noreen Hanif (31), Wonders Agenrwat (29), Genesis Lakereber (23), and Rita Amono (20)—all contributing brisk runs.
Although Comfort Amina claimed three wickets, the damage had already been done. Gulu High, in reply, folded for 62 in 16.5 overs. Lucky Ayoo’s 24 was the only resistance as Amono returned with 3 wickets to complete a solid all-round performance.
MATCH 5: Iganga SS vs Jinja SS – @Gulu Prison Ground

Result: Jinja SS won by 91 runs
In a Nile Region derby, Jinja SS turned on the style to beat Iganga SS by a comprehensive 91-run margin. Jinja’s top order put on a strong show with Hope Sheila Mbeiza (36) and Mary Namiiro (32) guiding them to 128/4. Iganga’s batting crumbled under scoreboard pressure and they were skittled for 37 runs in just 14.5 overs.

MATCH 6: St James SS vs Masaka SS – @ Gulu Prison Ground

St James SS showed improvement in their second game of the day, scoring 63/9 in 20 overs with skipper Selina Oliba (14) leading the way. But Masaka SS’s bowlers, particularly Kevin Mukite (3 wickets), restricted them effectively.
Masaka’s response was calm and calculated. Openers Humairah Nakimbugwe (14), Florence Kaijuka (10), and Barbra Nanyanzi (20) made light work of the chase, sealing a 9-wicket win.
MATCH 7: Sacred Heart SS vs Masindi SS – @Layibi College Ground

Sacred Heart capped off a perfect day with their second win, overcoming Masindi SS by 33 runs. In a 15-over contest, Sacred Heart posted 80/5 with Beatrice Aiko (23) and Hellen Labong (16) anchoring the innings.
Masindi’s top order couldn’t get going and only managed 47/5 in 15 overs. They will take heart from Prisca Kyomugisha (3 wickets)’s strong showing with the ball.
MATCH 8: Nyakasura School vs Iganga SS – @Layibi College Ground 2

Result: Iganga SS won by 63 runs
Iganga SS bounced back strongly in their second match with a 63-run win over Nyakasura. After being put in to bat, they posted 140/4 with fluent batting from Mariam Akullu (32), Faith Laruni (35), and Anna Kawomera (34).
Nyakasura’s response never gathered steam and they were bowled out for 77. Iganga skipper Lamara Prudence impressed with 3 wickets to seal the win.
MATCH 9: St John’s SS vs Good Heart SS – @Gulu High Ground

- Result: St John’s SS won by 59 runs (DLS method)
In a match affected by rain and decided via the DLS method, St John’s SS defeated Good Heart SS by 59 runs. St John’s posted 147/3 in 20 overs, thanks to a dazzling 44 from Mitchelle Lokwiva and 31 from Gilingish Shadia Nabulime.
With rain interrupting play, the target was revised to 99 runs in 9 overs for Good Heart, who only managed 39/6.
