In the Men's premier league Semifinals fixtures that were both played at Lugogo Cricket Oval Aziz Daman defeated Challengers CC by 7 wickets yesterday in the afternoon to advance to the finals.
Challengers captain Suleman Shariff won the toss and decided to bat first and his team posted 141 runs for a loss of just 4 wickets in 20 overs with contributions from Wassimu Butt 41 (38) Suleman Shariff 36 (39) Anif Sha 29 (20) and Savtoj Shammi 23 (17).
Junaid Khan and Falak Sher picked 2 wickets each for Aziz Daman from their quota of four overs conceding 24 and 17 runs respectively.
In the chase, Aziz Damani's opening batsman Simon Ssesazi (51) posted a half-century off 39 balls hitting 5 fours and 1 six with Riazat Ali Shah 35 (28) the support cast as Aziz Daman wrapped the game in 16.1 overs.
Earlier on in the morning at the same venue, Avengers CC had won Aziz Daman Development CC during the morning game by 5 wickets.
Aziz Daman Development's captain Derrick Bakunzi won the toss and decided to bat first but his side was limited to only 78 runs after losing all the wickets Avengers managed to chase this score for a loss of only 5 wickets in 18.1 overs in an inning that saw Under 19 youngster Kidega Christopher score 43 (45) with two beautiful sixes and 3 fours.
In the Championship Semifinals, Tornado Bees won A.D Ismaili by 6 wickets at the lakeside, Entebbe Cricket Oval.
And Premier CC won by 76 runs against Jinja SS at Jinja SS Cricket Oval.
The finals of the T20 cup will be played next Weekend and shall have Avengers CC Vs Aziz Daman in the premier league final and Tornado Bees CC Vs Premier CC in the Championship finals.
