UK based Llyod Paternott is part of the 25 man squad summoned for non-residential training ahead of the World Challenge League slated for Nov 25th to Dec 10th in Hong Kong.

Lloyd has been part of the cricket cranes squad in the past but injuries have prevented him from making a competitive debut for the team. He was certain to play at the Div 4 in Malaysia in 2018 but a freak accident in the warm-up tour of Qatar ruled him out of action for close to six months.

His inclusion in the training squad shows that the selectors still have faith in him and think he will add value to the set up especially our fragile batting.  Llyod a middle-order batsman for has been in fine form for his club side Wycombe Cricket Club scoring three centuries and three half-centuries in 12 games.

The squad announced has some new faces such as Richard Agamire, Aneef Shaa and Robinson Obuya. Ronak Patel, Bilal Hassan, Shahzad Kamal and Arthur Kyobe who missed out on selection for the Africa T20 qualifiers are available for selection as well.

U19 Captain Frank Akankwasa gets a chance to step up the grade as he battles for one of the all-rounder slots available. The team has started non-residential training before its reduced to 18 next month.

Unspecific reports indicate that Roger Mukasa and Brian Masaba have been relieved of their leadership roles and a new captain and vice will be named in due course.
