Kampala- After winning all their round-robin games, Tornado ladies suffered a six-wicket loss to Charity Trust Fund in the final of last year’s Twenty20 Mehta Premier League.
It is one of the times Tornado had come close to winning their maiden silverware. And those memories are still fresh with skipper Concy Aweko. That will be her driving factor when the two sides face off again in the top-of-the-table double header at Lugogo Oval today.
“Charity had luck on their side and the best team missed out on the title last year,” said Aweko, who is third on the bowling chart with five wickets. “We must win not only to keep our 100% record but also revenge for last year’s agony.”
Tornado have won all their four games with bonus points and top the five-team log with 24 points.
But holders Charity, who trail by two points are equally motivated having lost their National 50-Over League title to Wanderers.
